Ember sat in her class. Though she enjoyed the subject, she hated who she was in class with. Most of the Prince Yuki FanClub are in this class, and due to the seating arangements, they sit next to her
Ember flips open her book to the page on the white board.
The bold letters on the page make her freeze.
to her, her freeze up lasted forever, but to humans, it went by so fast they couldn't detect it.
The teacher walked in. She called on someone to begin reading. Ember didn't have to listen. She knew what it was about, but she did, anyway, though she had already missed the first senence or two.
"...A young girl in a rich family went missing. Then, her family was slautered. They were at a dinner table when someone came in and slit the families throats, then carved crosses into their left cheeks. The daughter was never found and historains think that she was killed that same night." Ember listened, her eyes felt dry.
The teacher called on someone else.
"For the next fifty years, the state of Virginia was plagued by this unknown mass murderer. At first, the killer targeted familes of five, and would attack them while they were eating at dinner. They were all killed in the same fashion, with their throats slit, a cross carved onto their left cheek and two, very small puncture wounds on the side on their necks."
The teacher nodded, then discussed with the class for a bit before moving on.
"Some people believe," She began. "That there were two people involved in the Virginia Massacre. Supossedly, someone saw two people riding away on a horse form the last crime scene, a woman and man, both laughing and with red eyes. And from that rumor, people began to believe that it was vampires who killed all the people." She laughed, and the class laughed with her.
"But we all know that there is no such thing as vampires!" She laughed again.
Ember recalled one event from her memory, and long time ago.
She threw her head back and let out a laugh. Her red hair flowed in the wind and she made a clicking noise, trying to make the horse go faster. It let out a whine, but pressed on. While riding on the horse, she wipped blood away from her mouth and cleaned off a knife using a hancker cheif.
"Human weapons can be useful at times, Spike!" Angel said.
"Yes, they can. Next time, remember not to cut the vocal cords, don't you want to hear them scream?" Spike was running along side the horse, laughing too.
Ember snapped up from her memory just in time to hear to bell ring.
