Shade

[Platinum]

A black cloud hovered around Akito from Shade's perspective.
"He's dying..." Shade thought. "In about three years, he'll be dead..."
"Everybody is dying in my house, I don't have any parents left that can take care of me." Shade said, watching Akito with her brilliant green eyes.

[Akkii]

Akito's eyes narrowed. "Dying? So what if they're dying?! I'm dying! I can still do plenty of things!" His eyes went sort of unfocused and Hatori froze as he watched.

Akito slapped Shade with such force that she was knocked off of the bed. Akito then kicked her sharply in her good side. He did it again. He started doing it more quickly.

Hatori finally managed to rush over to Akito. He pulled the boy away from Shade and held him back.

"Let go of me! Get your hands off of me, Hatori!" Akito yelled, his voice rising in anger. He tried to twist out of the doctor's grasp and trying to yank away, but to his dismay he could not break free, though Hatori really was struggling to keep Akito under control.

Suddenly Akito went a little limp and probably would have collapsed if Hatori hadn't been holding him up. Of course, Akito hadn't passed out.

"You're sick, aren't you Akito?" Hatori said quietly. Akito only groaned. Hatori sent a very apologetic look to Shade. He managed to hold onto Akito with one arm and help Shade back onto the bed with his other. "Wait here a moment Shade." He whispered. He helped Akito out the room. The boy's feet were hardly moving. His feet dragged. You could hear somebody vomiting a little noisily in the hall.

"Oh, Akito... Why didn't you tell me?" Hatori murmered.

((Shade should follow or something. Do you think she'd be able to sense that Aki's a girl? xP))

Shade hadn't closed her eyes when she was kicked to the ground. She sat still like Hatori told her too, for a moment. What can I say? She hadn't done one thing Hatori told her too since she met him, do you think she's going to start listening now?

She quietly walked to the room they were in, and stood next to the door, listening and watching quietly.
Somthing diffrent about him... said a voice in the back of Shade's head. More then he seems, he's not a he...he's a she. She watched.

[Akkii]

Hatori finished taking care of Akito in a few minutes. "Just send a maid up if you need anything." He said comfortingly. He walked the boy... or girl... back down to her own room and then returned.

He went to Shade's room, where she was now. "Is your side okay? You're very prone to bad luck..." Hatori trailed off.

[Platinum]

"I'll survive." She said to him.

[Akkii]

"I'm so sorry about how Akito reacted," Hatori apologized. "He's got the worst temper I've ever seen. It's normally easier to tick him off when he's sick. I should have known when he reacted to that comment of yours. When he gets mad enough, he goes into a blind rage, hardly even aware that he's doing what he's doing...." He sighed deeply.

[Platinum]

"It's fine...I live with someone like that..." She said, meaning her uncle. Hatori would know who she was talking about.

[Akkii]

Hatori nodded. "Remember to visit whenever you like." He added.

"I think your uncle is a little different from Akito, though. Your relative seems like somebody who is nothing but cruelty. Akito's a bit like a child, throwing tantrums when she doesn't get her way." He explained, unaware he had just called Akito a girl instead of a boy.

[Platinum]

"She?" She raised one eyebrow.

[Akkii]

Hatori bit his lip. What had he just done? He was always good at hiding Akito's secret. Had he began to be to truthful with the teenager.

Hatori just sighed. He'd taken too long to think, and he couldn't deny it now because of that, and remained silent.

[Platinum]

"Akito is a girl, isn't she?" She asked.

[Akkii]

Hatori sighed again. "Yes. Akito's a girl. A miserable girl at that. She has a bad mother, like you have a bad uncle."

[Platinum]

She nodded.
"There somthing else about her...is she sick?"

[Akkii]

"Almost all the time. Her condition's worsened recently. I'm estimating she has five or six years left to live..." Hatori trailed off. He looked grieving.

[Platinum]

"Three." Shade corected. "More like two or three." She said.

((I'm going by what you told me XD))

[Akkii]

((I knows. I wanted Hatori to be wrong. ^^ It's always fun when a smart guy's wrong.))

Hatori gasped. "What? Only two or three? She's going to die so young."

Now he was debating whether or not to tell Akito this news.

"I'm sorry." Shade said quietly.

[Akkii]

"It's okay. It's not your fault." Hatori said quietly. "I just can't believe it. It was expected she'd die in her late twenties, instead of her early twenties." He sighed. He wondered how Devon reacted if he were to tell him that Akito only had a few more years to live.

[Platinum]

"The more I'm around someone, the more precise my preditions are....I don't know exactly when she'll die, but it will be in-between nineteen and twenty-one.

[Akkii]

((We're gonna have to move this faster then, if she'll probably die at age 21. xD Maybe you should change that to 22. I will for you. LOL She needs to destroy the curse! But I'm fine with moving this a little more quickly. Than in the books.))

Hatori looked worried. He changed the subject. He looked at the clock. "Akito wants you to go home. I'm not going to send you home when you're in this condition, especially with your uncle at your house. You could stay with my cousin Kagura and her family. They'll let you stay. Would you like that?" He asked.

((We should end this thread soon and make a thread where Ha'ri tells Devon and Akito the news. How do you think Devon would react to it?))
