There was a girl standing on a dark bridge. Alone. The rain feel around her already soak body. It was dark and silent. The rain soon turned into snow. Now it was even more quiet. So quiet that it was deafning. No foot steps could be heard in the suffocating darkness.
"Your too pretty to be left alone." A man appeared to the girl. Even though the girl didn't hear him appraoch, she somehow knew he was coming.
She didn't answer him.
"I'm Spike." The blonde haired man said. She still didn't speak. The man looked understanding. "I know everything is scary. With the scents and everything," Spike said.
"My name is Angel." the girl said.
"Pretty name. Perfect for a pretty girl like you." Spike said.
"Only one other person has ever said I was pretty." Angel said, wrapping her arms around herself.
"I know your scared, Angel. But the Volturi can't scare you anymore." Spike said, laying one hand on Angel's shoulder. "But they can't scare you any more. I know they say there is no heaven for vampires. But there is. But me and you aren't allowed in it. Thewould kick us out before we even made it to the gates,
Angel was silent again.
"Come with me, Angel, I can teach you what being a vampire is really about. No rules. No one to hold us back." He said
"I like you, your nice." Angel said, as she got up from the ledge she was leaning against.
"Thanks." Spike smiled.
"Spike! Your so annoying!" A red-headed teenager yelled at Spike.
"But that's why you love me, right?" Spike asked, stepping closer to the infurated girl.
She held up one finger, and she became a bit zoned out.
"What do you sense, sweetie?" Spike asked. She grinned at him.
"Dinner." She responded with a sly smile, they both headed out the door of their apartment.
The moon above was covered with clouds, very little light shone through. Most would find this a very scary night. Not even the stars would grace the earth with their silver beams of light.
But not Spike and Embreon Angel. They found it quite romantic, really. Nothing could get the adrenaline flowing better then a dark and cloudy midnight hunt.
They stalked the helpless person. Unseen in their dark, leather clothing and unheard with their soft footsteps. Angel had smelled the person a few miles away. It was her gift. Spike had nurtured it and helped her develop it better. Maybe that's how they started dating. They saw each other day and night, helping Embreon understand the vampirism world. It really brings two people closer.
Angel let out an enthusiastic growl. The person jumped and spun around, of course, he saw nothing. Just empty darkness and shadows.
That's when they attacked.
"That's no fair, Spikey...we didn't get to play." Angel fake pouted back at their apartment. A little bit of blood was still on her lip.
"I know. I was rather disappointed too." Spike said, smirking and wipping the blood away.
"Can we play with our food tomorrow?" She asked, smiling.
"Sure, love." He kissed her on the cheek.
Angel began to shake violently. She clawed into the wooden coffee table she was sitting on. He hugged her and stroked her hair. “What is it, Angel…what is it? Concentrate…” He said.
“W-werewolf…” Angel breathed. “…many...” She said. “…coming here…”
“We need to get out of here.” Spike picked Angel up off the table and led her to the doorway. She was still shaking but she managed to run next to Spike as they fled the town.
And that is what most of their days were spent doing. Running.
"Spike?" Embreon Angel asked.
"Yeah?"
"I saw a Cullen today? What do you think they're after?"
"I'd recken they're after you," Spike said, wrapping his arms around her and hugging her tight. ", You are quiet a fiend." He smirked.
"Fun, isn't it?" Angel grinned at him. He kissed her on the cheek before letting her go.
"Spiiiike. I'm soo bored." She fell over on to the couch. "Let's go torture someone!" She hopped back up onto the floor.
"We can't. Not while the Cullens are here. We need to lay low." Spike advisded.
"Well...then what are we gonna do?" Angel asked, less enthused now.
"I dunno." He responded.
She sat back down on the couch. Then she had an idea. It plan was forming in her head.
"Spike...I'll be back. I promise I won't do anything stupid." Angel said, jumping back up onto the floor.
"Okay." Spike said, kissing her on the cheek again. Angel headed out the door.
She walked down the street, her dark leather cloak waved behind her. Even though she was wearing thick, heavy boots there was no sound. She stopped and looked at a tall tower. Angel climbed up the fire escape ladder to the very top.
Red eyes stared out into the setting sun. Her red hair flowed into the wind.
"Ember..." A soft voice called from behind the girl. She spun around quickly. A hiss escaped her voice.
"Edward...my dearest Edward! How have you been lately? Still hunting animals? That is very unhealthy for you, ya know." Angel said, her red eyes glinted with danger.
"Ember...I came to talk to you...what you are doing is wro-" Edward began, but he was cut off by Angel.
"Who is to tell me what is wrong and what is right!? You? Ha! I can do what ever I want. There is no right and wrong. No good or evil." She hissed out, angry.
Edward remained calm. "Ember just listen. What you did-"
"What I did is what I needed to do to survive, Edward!" She said again, flexing her fingers and barring her teeth.
"You didn't need to drive her to the point of insanity."
"Shut Up!"
"And your family..."
"They deserved." She growled.
"No they didn't." Edward said, taking a step forwards to the infuriated Ember. Angel snarled again and stepped back.
She began to think back, on the day she had killed her family.
“Embreon Angel. What a pretty name.” A man with milky white skin said. He looked at the girl that stood before him. “Well...Angel...welcome to our group." He said, standing up.
"Thank you, Aro. Thank you." Ember 'Embreon Angel' said. Her red eyes gleamed. She turned around to leave, but then stopped. "Aro..." She said, still not facing him. "Before I leave, I have something I need to do first. Family matters." Angel said. Aro caught on.
"Of course. Take all the time you need, Angel" He said with a grin.
"Thank you, once again friend," Angel said.
Angel didn't want to think of the rest. The more she thought about that moments after that...the more she thought about it the more she relized it was wrong. And she didn't want Edward to be right.
"Ember..." Edward took another step forward. Angel stepped back, forgetting she was on the roof of a sky scrapper.
And down she fell, spinning and twisted through the cold air. She shreiked when she hit the pavement with an ear spilting sound. It sound like some one had hauled a piece on cement off the tower, instead of a vampire who fell. There was a hole in the concrete where she had fallen.
Angel rolled over onto her side. Her body ached a little, but she was fine. She got up a few minuted after that. Little tremors of pain shot down her back and down ehr legs. But she would surivive. It was like falling off of a bike. Edward was waiting behind her. Ember spun around and snarled.
Something from behind tackled her to the ground. Angel managed to flip over onto her back and saw to glowing yellow eyes bore into her blood red ones.
She chuckled. "Well...hello, Jasper." She said, anger plusing through her. But then, she began to feel calm, and understanding. She looked at his hand, which were pinning down arms. "Stop! Stop!" She tryed to get angry again, but she couldn't. When Jasper has direct contanct with a person, his power because stronger.
Angel kicked Jasper in the stomach with both her legs, and threw him off and she jumped up. She looked both ways. The two Cullen's were circuling her. And still, Angel didn't feel angry.
"We told you to listen to us, Ember. And you refused. I hate that it has to come down to this..." Edward said calmly.
Both Jasper and and Edward attacked. This must be something that they had planned. They attacked her and took her back to the Cullen house.
"Spike lied?"
"Yes. Spike lied."
"Spike wouldn't lie to me."
"He did." Edward sighed.
"There is no heaven?" Angel asked.
"N-" Edward began, but he was cut off.
"Yes, there is." Carlisle stepped up behind Edward. "There is a heaven, Edward."
"But Vampire's aren't allowed." Angel said.
"They are. There's a heaven for Vampires." Carlisle said.
There is a Heaven for Vampires. But am I allowed in it?
"Your too pretty to be left alone." A man appeared to the girl. Even though the girl didn't hear him appraoch, she somehow knew he was coming.
