A rather dreary day it was, rainy and not really a day anyone would want to be out, let alone walking around in. So that's why Kayo was not walking around in it. For the most part at least, just to get to her house. Naturally with Sugar. Since college took up a lot of time, breaks were spent either with her family or him. Though her parents had yet to really meet her best friend and technically now boyfriend. Which she wasn't so sure what her parents would think of... Of course they weren't really her parents, even if she had been with them since she was three and she had no biological parents.
"There!" She stated finding the correct numbered house. "Now... I think they're home, if they are they're kinda odd so they might just be there and know we're here..." Yes, she knew they were vampires. Not exactly something you can keep from a kid. She was sort of ditsy at times, but after a while you wonder where your mother goes on weekends, or why her eyes change color. Then there is that whole aging and cold skin thing.
The slick haired girl opened the door of the house calling out a, "hey," as she did so. Though from what she knew she could have whispered it from outside and been fine.
[Um... failure, here, cha...]

Sugar nodded as he walked in, not asking about the 'odd' thing, he really couldn't be one to judge, now could he? He knew that Kayo was adopted- those two were like, best friends forever, for real- but other then that, he didn't know much about her parents. He had seen a picture or two, one was redheaded and the other had almost purple hair, not to mention their eye color, but it was perfectly fine by Sugar, he hardly noticed the odd hair colors.
The blonde haired man looked down at Kayo with a grin that streached to both multiple piercing ears. He had NO idea why he was so happy, but any time he was hanging with Kayo he felt more eccentric then ussual, it was a nice feeling, although it annoyed others, so he let it be and didn't question it. "So what are your parents names again?" The man asked as he followed Kayo in, shutting the door for her before respecfully slipping off his shoes at the doormat.
((This isn't much better. XD >.<))

Yuki had scented Kayo coming before she’d even hit their block. Normally, he wouldn’t be home. Instead, he would be cooking at the restaurant he worked at—even if the food didn’t smell that appetizing to him. Yes, yes, it was surprising, considering before college he couldn’t cook anything without burning it. But he’d taken some classes, and had somehow managed to learn how to cook, though he had earned the name ‘Charcoal-san’ in the process. Now, he was a chef at a five-star restaurant. Yes, yes, I know: o.O… Anyway, today he had a day off. Having nothing else to do, he was cooking up an early dinner—four thirty would be an all right time to eat, he figured.
But as Kayo neared the house, Yuki caught the scent of someone else with her. Being a bit of a laid back person, he wasn’t too worried—even it if might be a boy. The scent was vaguely familiar. He’d smelled it before, hanging around Kayo’s own scent. He figured it must be a friend from school.
When they got outside the house, he could hear them talking. ”Now... I think they're home, if they are they're kinda odd so they might just be there and know we're here...”
"So what are your parents names again?"
Smirking, Yuki went to the doorway that led into the living room, so Kayo and her friend would see him soon as they came in.
”Hey.”
Yuki smiled in his adoptive daughter’s direction when she stepped in and gave the greeting. ”Hey, Kayo-chan,” he said lightly. He’d changed a lot since he was a teenager. Tohru’s and Ember’s doing, of course. He wasn’t as soft-spoken in shy. ”Welcome home. So, who’s this?” He looked the boy up and down. He certainly didn’t look familiar.

"Hello, Sohma-san." Sugar gave a bow, the longer strands of blonde hair falling down from behind his shoulders and the trademark grin still in place as he came back up. "Ishii Sugar... I'm a friend of your daughter's." He introduced himself to the man, trying his best to behave and be normal, this was Kayo's father, after all. Don't want to give a bad impression. Sugar remained still as Yuki looked him up and down, it wasn't hard to tell that Sugar was the normal person. The jeans he wore were skinnies, and on his feet a pair of worn out black converse with neon orange laces. His shirt seemed normal enough... besides the graffiti looking monster on there with a camera- it was from Kyoshi and Luna's desinger line, Kyoshi gave it to him as a gift- and it was a whirlwind of oranges, purples and lime greens, somewhat muted looking. "Well... boyfriend if you want to get all techincal." Sugar said with a shrug, making some hand movements. "Anyways, it's a pleasure to meet you." He said, flashing Yuki another grin.
Sugar took this change to look over Yuki. The man had an almost purple color hair-it made Sugar wonder if it was real or dyed, and if it was dyed he wanted to know the brand that the man used- and pale skin. His eyes were amber, the golden color reminded Sugar of the eyes of Kiyoshi's two sons, Edward and Alphonse. His outfit was average, wearing what one would expect young fathers to wear. Oh, that was another thing. Yuki looked so young. Sugar could have bet that he was older then the man- which he was, by two years- which would make things a bit awkward, so Sugar made sure that he didn't mention it.
