It was a gray day, a few fat raindrops would splatter themselves against the pane of the window, though it wasn’t quite raining yet that day. It was warm, and humid the moisture in the air hung heavily through the atmosphere of the city, the storm clouds swirling in the sky, looking like ugly bruises, deep purples and almost charcoal in color. But the sky and the weather had no meaning. It was as important as the bagel that a young woman had bought this morning at a coffee shop, and that there was a small scruff on the shoes of that woman. And that she was heading over the house of her friend.
Wait, that last detail was important.
The woman, Shade Sato, was definitely a beautiful woman. She looked almost average if you just glanced at her. Dark skin, dark hair, short and small chested with wider hips. Upon closer inspection though, she was gorgeous. She had a small, button nose and thick long eyelashes and full lips, but these are almost ordinary too. The most striking feature about her were her big green eyes, forest green in color with emerald streaks leading towards her pupils.
Shade was going to her best friend’s house, Kyo Sohma. This man she had known since she was barely a teenager, he had always been there. She had almost killed him once, turning him into a terrible monster and then later become pregnant with his child, who now lived with him. She loved this man, almost as much as she loved her fiancé, and her children. He was Kyo Sohma, the best guy in the world.
She opened the door to his house, finishing off the rest of that bagel-and what a good bagel that was, absolutely perfect- she didn’t even knock walking in. She didn’t have too, she was over to his house often enough. She shut the door behind her and slipped off her scuffed shoes before padding through the house. “Hey, baby boy, where are ya?” She called, almost teasingly. Anybody she was very close to, she would give them names like ‘baby boy’, or ‘darling’, just her personality. Nobody could have ever seen anything else into it.
But his wife wasn’t home. And neither was their son.
She walked into the kitchen, where she happened to find him, a grin playing across her face as she approached the ginger haired man. She sauntered her way over to him and placed her arms around his waist, drawing herself up close. “I missed you.” She said to him, though she had only just talked to him yesterday. But hey, one day is a long time. “Don’t I get a kiss?” She asked, raising an eyebrow.
((I'm sorry. ^^' Baad...))

Delicious aromas had filled the kitchen. He may not be as good a cook as Tohru, but he could cook well nonetheless. Tohru was out—grocery shopping. She had just left, and would be gone for a while. Ryuzaki was off somewhere as well—probably with Kazuma again.
He grinned when he heard Shade enter, and waited for her to find him instead of responding when she called for him. “I missed you.” Kyo grinned. ”Missed ya too.” “Don’t I get a kiss?” The grin turned into a small, intimate smile as he bent down and kissed her. After a few moments, he pulled away. ”Is that enough of an answer for ya?”
[Ugh. This sucks.]

((It's not that bad. XD By the way, who plays Tohru in this thread?))
Shade grinned and nodded, her arms still wrapped around Kyo. "Yeah, that's good enough." She said to him, still grinning. She didn't pull away from him, there was no need to, there wasn't anyone around, now was there?
"So what have you been up to?" She asked him, tilting her head to one side, her hair falling over her shoulder. She had recently let it grow out, and she now figured that it was time for a cut. The black strands nearly reached the middle of her back, and was getting in the way when she worked on her cars-mechanics was on her of passions, after all. She was a machinery freak- which was annoying for her. But Tadao had always liked long hair, so she kept it long.
What she was doing wasn't because she was mad at Tadao. No, it was far from that. But it was just that she had lost that feeling that she had long ago when she had first met Tadao. She felt like with Tadao, she could escape and live a fantasy life where everything is perfect and she never had to worry ever again. And for a while, that worked.
And then she grew up.
She became and adult, and found out that life didn't work that way. All the problems came back, in different forms, in different ways, and she couldn't deal with them like before. She needed to escape again. And then she found Kyo. Before, Shade hadn't really been attracted to Kyo in the same way she was to Tadao. But the boy had grown up and calmed down, and she saw him in a new light. She could run away to him, and he would let her. She could escape again.
So yes, she knew what she was doing was wrong. Of course she knew. But you see, she didn't care. She just didn't care anymore.

Kyo chuckled, brushing Shade’s bangs out of her eyes. His face was still close to hers. He shrugged, pulling his face back just slightly. “Not much. Trying to figure out what to do about Ryuzaki. I haven’t asked Shishou if he has any idea of what to do yet.” He sighed a little. “Hopefully, this is just a phase.” He shrugged again and the smile once again graced his features.
When he and Tohru finally became a couple, he couldn’t imagine caring about anyone other than her. Despite what he and Shade had been forced to do, he’d seen her more so as a little sister, a best friend. But, that began changing. The excitement, the complete and utter joy he’d felt whenever he was around Tohru was fading.
That first kiss with Shade had been something that he had never expected—never even WANTED to happen. But after it did, he didn’t want it to stop. He loved it. He loved her. Like Shade, he knew what he was doing was wrong. And he didn’t want to hurt Tohru because he still cared about her. But he cared about Shade more. And he was going to be selfish and put his happiness first, despite how wrong it felt.
[Meh. xD Crappy post. Lulz. And you play her. That okay?]

((Sure, that's fine. ^^))
Shade nodded. "Kiyoshi says that Ryuzaki acts pretty well when he's over, but then again, that might have something to do with Chiasa." He said with a smirk. Shade ran her hand up the man's bicep, thick with well built muscles. That added to her mental 'Things I Really Like About Kyo' list, the fact that he was well built up. What? You think it's weird that she has a list? Well, if she didn't have a list, how else would she remember everything?
"He'll probably get over it soon enough." She assured him, smiling up at the tall, orange haired man.
"Kyo..." Shade dropped her gaze at this point, her line of sight meeting his chest as her tone became more serious. "Do you ever.. feel bad about what we're doing?" She asked him, gazing back up at him through her veil of thick black lashes, her green eyes searching his face for an answer. She of course, had felt bad at times. Like when Tadao came home after losing a patient in the hospital, and he was tired and just wanted to hold his wife. When her son and her daughter with him came running in, exclaiming something or another, speaking so quickly she could hardly understand them and Tadao would stand off to the side, smiling to himself as he watched the scene. It was moment like those Shade felt like a horrible person, a bad mother and an even worse wife. And then, she couldn't stand to be in that house any more, and she would go and run to Kyo, and things would be better. It was a cycle that she couldn't break, she would feel guilt, then worse, then better with Kyo, then guilty again. She couldn't stand it anymore.
She shook her head and looked down again. "Never mind. It doesn't matter." She decided, though she still did want an answer. But it was best not to think about things like that, things that she wanted to escape from.
"Whatcha cookin'?" She asked, looking around Kyo at the skillet, tempted to take a piece of the bound-to-be delicious food that he was making, but she might get smacked on the hand with a spatula if she did that.
((Bleh.))

He listened to her speak, more so listening to her voice than her words. Such a soothing sound. Turning back to the food he was cooking, he continued to work on it, glancing at her now and then, taking in the sight of her, not responding to what she was saying about Ryuzaki. Flowing, dark hair. Bright green eyes that he thought he’d drown in every time he looked into them. Dark skin. The black hair wasn’t strange, but everything else about her was—for Japan, anyway. She stuck in a crowd. And he liked that.
"Do you ever... feel bad about what we're doing?" Kyo pretended to be very, very interested in the food he was cooking, training his scarlet gaze on just that. Yes. So much. So, so much. All the time. He didn’t say that out loud though, because the truth was, although he felt horrible about it, he didn’t feel bad enough to stop. Despite the fact he could hardly look Tohru in the eye anymore. She’d be shattered if she knew about this. He knew she would blame herself for this—think she wasn’t good enough or something.
”Never mind. It doesn't matter." He let out a loud exhale, relieved he wouldn’t have to answer.
Forcing the thoughts of just how bad he felt about this to the back of his mind, he smiled, flicked off the stove, and answered her question. ”I was just making some miso ramen. You want some?”
[ZOMG I FAIL. =is shot=]

"Of course!" Shade said with a grin, going to go get two bowls for them. "Everything you makes is just absolutely amazing." She said with a nod, confirming her own words. "You know, I'm thinking about going back to school." She said to him. "I mean, I love being a mechanic, but the pay is low and I think I want to go to a school of Dance and Choreography." Shade said to him, handing him a bowl. Then she shrugged. "I don't know if I'll have enough money though, and I'll feel bad if I ask Hatori, he's already done a lot for me." She said. And then lifted her eyesbrows at Kyo, since she couldn't point. "And I don't you to pay for anything, either." She said to him with a grin.
