Stupid Mom. Stupid Kaiser. Stupid… agh, just stupid everything. Why did Mom let Kaiser stay around. She ran the family, didn’t she? Couldn’t she kick him out? He was a jerk. Sure, he didn’t hurt her—no, never. Ha! He hardly even paid attention to her. Though, she figured she was better off not acknowledged by him. After all, look at how he treated her mom, how he beat her, how he insulted her and stripped her of her dignity and pride—what little she had left—again and again. It drove Mary crazy. She just wanted to meet her dad. She had dreams—no, visions of him and her mom. She knew they were visions because it’s not as if she could imagine her mother’s past like that, though it kinda made sense. Stupid Mom, deciding to make her real dad leave like that. She should have run off with him when she had the chance. Now look what had happened: Akito was abused. She was even raped from time to time. A child had been the result of one of these times. And now that annoying kid was 8 years old, and her little sister.
She really truly hated Giselle. Sometimes, she wasn’t sure why. She just did. They had their moments when they got along, like all siblings did. But most of the time it was just one big mess.
She laid down in the shade of a sakura tree, feeling some of the petals flutter down upon her like snow. It was one of the few places that she felt completely comfortable in. Everything was silent, aside from the twittering of the birds. It soothed her despite her bad mood. She sighed. The bad feelings were ebbing away. Relaxation crept upon her, settling on her like a blanket. Of course, then she opened her eyes and rolled on her eyes, and saw her half sister coming in her direction.
”Wonderful. Just wonderful,” she muttered.

Giselle was an average looking girl, despite being half vampire, which usually held attractiveness in their genes. Her skin was the color of her father’s ancestors, her eyes the same teal as Akito’s, and dark chocolate hair that stopped about mid back- as her father almost demanded that she wear her hair long, the mandatory style of her tresses was nothing but a nuisance for the girl for she would rather have her hair short.
She looked over at Mary, the blonde beauty sitting underneath the blossoming cherry. Oh, how she was forever jealous of Mary. That platinum colored man of hair, those little freckles across the bridge of her nose, that pretty pale skin, it made Giselle jealous to a point that it was hard to look at this girl who stood out like a unicorn in a field of plain horses. Mary Sohma was definitely a fair creature, one to be admired from afar and not to be touched.
But Giselle made her way over to her sister, her eyes kept darting to the ground in a sign on obvious nervousness. When she heard her sister mutter, she felt blush arise to her cheeks, an ashamed blush. Was she really that awful? Was it really that bad to be her father’s daughter? She knew how he treated her mother, she had seen it, heard it, but it was not like she condoned to it. No, it was rather disgusting if you were to ask little Giselle. “Hello, Mary.” The child said as she stopped in front of her half sister, keeping her head down and she offered a little bow, something she had seen her mother do on the occasion but never her father, maybe it would help Mary like her more. “… It’s really pretty outside today.” She said, her voice going up in pitch a little as she offered a gappy smile, as one of her teeth had fallen out the other day.

Mary noticed that Giselle offered a bow, knew that her half sister was making an attempt to seem like their mother. She sighed to herself and refrained from rolling her eyes. ”It is,” she agreed almost warily, as if not wanting to show any sort of affection toward the child. After all, Giselle was the result of a rape, a disaster. What good could the younger girl be? Mary knew that her thoughts were cruel, that if Giselle could know what went through her mind every time she had thoughts of the child, her sister would feel horrible. Mary even felt bad about it. She would never say so, though. Of course, the two had some good moments. She remembered a time when she’d managed to coax a bird to her—something difficult to do, being cat of the zodiac—and had shown it to her younger sister and even told her how to do it.
Oh yes, there were times when they got along, but hatred toward Kaiser made it hard for her to love Giselle at all. ”So, did the ‘tooth fairy’ bring you any money for your tooth yet?” Mary sneered a little. She’d never believed in things like that—tooth fairy, Easter Bunny, Santa Claus. Truthfully, she wasn’t even sure if Giselle did. She just knew the girl’s tooth had fallen out. Absently, Mary played with a strand of her almost-white hair, chopped short, similar to Akito’s former style. It was a unisex cut anyway, and since Mary wasn’t trying to pretend to be a boy as her mother had, it would be fairly hard for her to get mistaken for a boy.
[NERGH! Fail. Sorry!]
