The landscape was a simple blanket of shadowed white as clouds rolled over the sun, blotting out most of the light. Small flurries danced on the landscape as wind blew gently, blowing away any tracks made by one who chose to wander out in the snow. A great rolling landscape set the canvas for this scene; there was hardly another being out today, at the time of dusk. People were always afraid of the dark, something that the figure could only grin at. Afraid of the dark, well, maybe there was such thing as intelligence in the human population. Admittedly though, that was hard to imagine; it had been too many years since he had been changed for him to remember what being prey was like. This lifestyle was just so much easier, not to mention it came with many added bonuses. Grinning a smile, his teeth flashing brightly in the pre-dark, Axiom stepped out into the snow, dressed in some fancy looking clothing, but not something that looked as though it would be too warm in this weather.
But since when had warmth mattered to him? With another grin, Axiom shook his head, red eyes gleaming in a feral manner in the fading light; he was no pacifist vampire as his dear ‘cousins.’ Drinking only animal blood, what fools they were to resist their true natures. They knew not of the excitement, of the thrill, of hunting people down. The smell of their fear, the racing of their hearts, there was something simply magical about it. Just thinking about it made him hungry, though from the glow in his eyes, it was evident that he had just fed, maybe not even an hour ago. Oh how he loved open tours! Nobody noticed if you joined, and if you picked the right target, nobody noticed if someone went missing! Old people didn’t taste too good, but unless he was in a particular mood, he’d usually take them just because they generally were alone. Probably the best tasting though, were children. Their blood was as sweet as rich wine, untainted by all the god awful stuff people were injecting themselves with these days; positively vile stuff drugs were. A sudden thought came to him though, and with a chuckle, Axiom shook his head. It seemed as though those who were constantly stoned had found protection from the nightwalkers. Only the most desperate would kill them.
Skirting around the bloody snow; he had come across a coven that had been trespassing on his territory that had been easily taken care of, Axiom’s eyes narrowed ever so slightly. With a hair-trigger temper, he was known for his fighting skills; he had been trained in the military before becoming a vampire, and had kept up the arts. There were so few ways one could kill their own kind, but humans were weak, taking just one blow to kill; he didn’t even have to use his full strength for it. Ah, how easy it was, there were so many murderers running around, it wasn’t too difficult to blame it on them. Only the other vampires would know it was one of their kind doing it, but who were they to tell him he couldn’t? He only fed when he needed too; therefore he was breaking no rules, Axiom thought with a dark smile. Oh, his ‘cousins’ could throw a fit all they wanted, but he was going to live the way he wanted, and there was none who could tell him otherwise. He knew of both worlds.
Animal blood he had found was lacking the same edge to it, when he had decided to see what it was like to be a vegetarian. Plus, unless it was another carnivore, it just tasted gross; and hunting carnivores had made him feel as though he was betraying something. Shaking the snow from his hair, the red eyed vampire wandered the countryside, looking for those who were dreaming, he was itching to do something other than just walk on this day.
But wait; was that company he heard? Turning around in one smooth motion, Axiom cocked his head slightly, leaning against a large boulder. Now, who was out here on a day such as this? They had come at a good time, he would grudgingly admit—he was in a good mood for the moment. Lucky them.

Jonathon was in a rut. He had the dreaded artist block. And if he didn't get past this block soon, he could get fired. And he didn't want that to happen. So he went out to the countryside to see if he could get any inspiration[sp?]. The snow was everywhere, and was also untouched. Until he came across some tracks in the snow. A person was near by. Curisoity taking over, he followed the tracks to the open field, where he saw a very well dressed man. Jonathon stopped and called out to the man," hello there."
((Sorry if this doesn't work. Its just that I barely use myself in threads, and no one is offering any threads that involve him (me) in them. If this doesn't work, I can delete this post.))

Oh ho. So it seemed as though he had not been mistaking his company. Just the smell of him told Axiom all he needed to know about this character though; it seemed as though he had run across one of his pacifist ‘cousins’, how absolutely fascinating. Maybe it was true; if you thought about something long enough it would come to you. He’d have to investigate that later. Leaning against the rock, Axiom was quiet, simply watching the other, his gaze calculating. This was a newer vampire; he would bet that he had been a vampire for at most a total of ten years, something else that was fascinating. A deep scent came off of him; one that smelled like ink, paper, people, and other things that he just couldn’t place off the top of his mind; he had been away from society for too long to understand everything. The very clothing he wore gave Axiom away for how old he really was; right now they looked to be about Victorian Era, but there were few who would give away their true ages; his own had been forgotten a long time ago.
Closer and closer the other stepped, before a friendly greeting was called out.
Hello there. The other’s ignorance was painfully obvious; did he not know what the eyes meant? Or had he not been experienced in the true world of vampires, not the partial world that he lived in? Whatever the cause, this person was something odd to Axiom; making him more than a little curious about this stranger. His kind was not rare, at least, not as it had been once upon a time, and if this had been a new vampire, only then would have Axiom been worried; new vampires were about the only thing he honestly feared; which was why he had yet to bite anyone that he didn’t plan on killing. Besides, who’d want the responsibilities of turning someone? It was just so much work, plus you had to teach them all about the world itself.
”Hello. What brings you to the Countryside?” His voice was soft, easily whipped away on the wind, but with the wisdom all vampires that had been around seemed to carry, his eyes gleaming in the low light as he continued his un-aggressive stance; leaning against the rock told the other that he didn’t feel like fighting. The tautness in his muscles, the gleam in his eyes, told him though, that if push came to shove, he would be more than willing to turn the tables. For the moment, he just wanted too see the reaction of this vampire to a true vampire, and see just how hard he could persuade this one to try the rich red blood, so different from an animal’s. To see if he could get this one to change his ways, if only for a night, something that was impossible with the older ones.
”I don’t recognize you; new around here?” Axiom asked in a conversational tone. It would do no good if the other vampire felt nervous around him; they were less likely to listen to him that way. And this all depended upon cooperation.
Oh what fun this was going to be!
[[Idea; what if Axiom convinces ‘you’ to go hunting for humans, and ‘you’ actually dp have human blood? 'You' could just be needing to hunt and all that fun stuff, and accept the offer. Just for fun. =3]] [/blockquote]

((ME kill another human for sustanence[sp?]? Hmm....maybe. What if 'I' do go along and kill and drink a humans blood, realized what I've done, and attack Axiom? That should be fun as well.))
Jonathon was finally into talking distance to the man. "To answer your first question, I'm out here to see it the countryside can give me any inspiration for something to draw for my job. I'm kinda in a rut right now. And to answer your second question, I've moved here about ten years ago and was turned into a vampire shortly after moving to Japan." While Jonathon was talking to this man, he noticed a strange yet familar scent on him. But he put that aside. "SO what brings you to the country side?"

So it turned out he had been right about the age, it seemed as though he was really on his game today. Head tilting to the side slightly as the other man spoke, Axiom held back a grin. The young were so easy to sway from their ways, even if it was only for one time, it was enough. They would keep thinking about it, and their control would receive a brutal blow as they wondered what exactly had happened, and fought the urge to do it again, fought the call of the sweet blood of humans as their bodies cried for it. He could watch if he felt like it, but what was the fun in that? It was much easier to just disappear from sight, for they tended to get angry once they understood what they did. He would catch them later, in their thoughts, where they couldn’t do anything because he controlled the dream; being a dream walker did have its advantages in his world. The only downside was that he couldn’t actually kill the dreamer; he had tried in the past.
”I’ve never understood the need for drawings, can books not capture the same events just as well as a pretty picture?” Axiom scoffed, shaking his head, before shrugging. ”Whatever works for you though, those who do have skills with art I imagine must have a lot of time on their hands.” Ignoring the last sentence, though it had slipped out before he could stop himself, Axiom shook his head once more, though this time it was to get the snow out of his hair again—it was starting to look as if he had a bad case of dandruff! And that was just not acceptable with him; having dandruff was not something that should ever be considered, his image was too important to even dare fathom such a thought.
”As for what I am doing around here, well I live around this area. Why not explore when there are a few people out?” Axiom said with a laugh; he knew that this vampire did not know what he was. He had not missed the look that had flashed across the other’s face when he had gotten close enough to smell Axiom. That would have to be remedied, but only after he planted the cards that he was going to play into their proper places. It was all about patience in this game, and with a tilting of his head, Axiom shrugged.
”You look thirsty from your wanderings; I could find you a drink if you want.” A perfectly human response, but it could be taken oh so many ways, how he did love double meanings such as that. This vampire was old enough to have lost his super strength, and it seemed as though he didn’t have any fighting experience aside from the basic skills; he lacked the same gleam that Axiom was currently keeping hidden. If it didn’t go against his talents in this area, he probably would stick around if he convinced this one to ‘take a drink.’
This was one he would defiantly visit in the daydreaming realm though. Seeing the anguish and bitter agony, it made his life all worth while.
[[I suck at battle scenes though. xD Seriously. Anyway, what I was thinking is that since Axiom is a dream walker, he could visit ‘you’ in a daydream [since vamps can’t sleep] and not exactly fight, but just get yelled at and stuff. Though Axiom would probably win the fight, haha. Bloodthirsty hair trigger personality and all. xD ]]

((Well, one of my friends actually said this about me, and these are his exact words 'he's got a long fuse, but its attacthed to a biga$$ bomb.' And that bomb has never gone off once, at least not that I know of. XDD))
Jonathon thought about it, and nodded," sure I could use a drink. And if I may ask, what is your name, sir?"
((Bleh, bad post))

"Very well good sir, just follow me." Axiom said with a faint grin, his words light, easy, almost as though he was speaking to someone that he had known forever, rather than just a few moments. But then again, look at who was speaking; Axiom wasn't exactly a normal creature--one couldn't go far enough to call him a human, that would be nothing less than pure ludicrous. As he lazily leaned against the rock, Axiom cocked his head to the side slightly, before grinning a smile that wasn't all to pleasant. "I have been called many things in the past; not all of which are pleasant. I have many names and names of those names, the original having been put away a long time ago. The answer to your question depends upon the name one wishes to know." Red eyes gleaming slightly, there was no false note in the tone of Axiom; he was dead serious when he spoke, and there was nobody that could tell him otherwise. Birth names have power; which was why he had gotten rid of his a long time ago, and was prone to switching names every couple years. "If you feel as though you need to call me something though; you may know me as Illuioms. And if I may ask, what are you known as today?"
Slowly, Axiom unfolded from the rock, looking eager as he turned toward the town; before looking back over his shoulder he grinned slightly, more of a fanged grin then anything else, back at the other vampire. ”Just follow me.” Axiom said softly, before seeming to disappear. Of course, he was only running; though slower than normal. He wasn’t the strongest of all vampires, but he was fast. Stopping on the outskirts of town, Axiom drew in a deep breath; ah it seemed as though there were a few lovebirds coming back from ‘visiting’ their sweethearts; they were going to taste a bit sweeter than normal, and much more addicting. Not knowing if the other vampire had followed him at all, Axiom simply spoke over his shoulder; he had seen how black the gaze of the other vampire had been, he had seen how hungry he had been. This was all too easy really, but it was better than simply wandering through the countryside without much of anything else to do.
Just then, one of the boys slipped; and suddenly, the rich smell of blood was everywhere, intoxicating. ”D@amn it!” A hoarse cry came, and the sound of trying to staunch the bleeding. ”I think I’m going to need stitches.” The voice called again, making Axiom grin. Oh boy, you aren’t going to worry about stitches when we get through with you. In his hunting mode, Axiom could almost see everything that was happening; for example, he didn’t need to guess about where the friend was, he was trying to help staunch the bleeding, and in turn, getting blood all over himself. Turning behind him, Axiom nodded his head. ”I present you with your drink, free of charge of course.”
And with that, the other vampire vanished, gone as though he had never come before. One friend had already been dragged away, the one that wasn’t bleeding, and taken care of; it was always good to move before they could scream at you. Now, the true show was about to begin. He wouldn’t see it himself though; rather, he would visit this one in the daydreams, later, when he could control the stage better. After all, if he was going to fight, which he didn’t feel like doing all too much; he wasn’t going to let himself lose.
And it was amazing how many of them simply wanted to talk about what had happened. [/blockquote]

Jonathon didn't have time to tell Illuioms his name before he zoomed off. And he was suspicious about what he just told him about him being called many things. But he was thristy. So, he zoomed to catch up with him. He stopped when he found him, and couldn't believe what he saw. He was drinking the blood of a young boy. Jonathon quickly covered his nose and held his breath. How could I be so stupid!? I should've known he was a voulturi. He has the eye color. Jonathon has never met one before, but his cousin has told him about them.
((You could have Axiom force Jonathon's hands away from his nose.))
