Yuki felt as if his pocket was bulging, despite the fact the velvet, navy-blue case was very small and hardly noticeable in the pocket of the blue jeans he was wearing today. He held Ember's hand with his right hand, while he stuck his left hand in his pocket, walking through the park with her. Yes, he had only just recently turned twenty, but he had never been so sure of anything in his life. The thing he wanted most was to be married to her. He pecked her on the cheek absent-mindedly, and led her off the paved black trail through the park to a nearby tree. The very tree she'd been sitting under when he'd approached her out of curiosity four years ago, just to talk.
He couldn't believe Ember had gone from some random stranger to being the woman he loved the most. He sat in the shade, wondering if she'd remember. She probably would. He leaned back against the trunk of the tree, his hand still in his pocket, playing with the velvet case.
Oh, G*d, he'd never been so nervous in his whole life. He wondered if it showed.
((Mleh. He didn't have much to say. LoL I'll describe the ring later... =hasn't even decided= Let me know if you have any ideas for what you want the ring to look like.))

Ember watched him; a grin on her face. "You seem nervous." She pointed out to him. "What's up?"
((bluh.))

Yuki grimaced. "Uh... I'm not nervous," he mumbled, not-so-smoothly.
Crap, his palms were sweating. And he was still holding her hand. He felt so stupid.
He felt he should have planned this more. He'd just decided recently that he'd ask her now. All he knew was that he was taking her to the place where he'd met her.
He stood up again, just to make sure Ember was standing so it would work out at least a little like he'd envisioned it would be.
"Y'know, this is the place where I first met you," he pointed out absent-mindedly. The memory where he was five or six was hard to remember, after all the years. Even if that had actually been the first time he met her. He could barely remember the person's face and other features from back then...

Ember lifted an eyebrow at him, but then said. "Yeah..." She grinned slightly. She chuckled. "That was an interesting day."

"Yeah..." Yuki agreed.
Okay, he was gonna do it now. It was quiet, and he had no idea what to say anyway. He took her hand again, finally pulling the box out of his pocket. He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, letting out a shaky sigh before lowering onto one knee. He felt silly, but it's not like anyone else was around right now. Just Ember. He opened the navy-blue box to show the bright red interior, where a silver ring with one glistening diamond rested.
"Ember, I love you more than anything, and I was hoping... that you would marry me," Yuki said, again feeling a little silly. But he was utterly serious, and he kept that serious expression as he met her gold eyes with his violet ones.

Ember was shocked into silence, but then again, who wouldn't be? Flashes of her childhood came to her, about how she had to always train to be the perfect bride for a rich, handsome young man even though the red head knew that she would never be.
But none of that matter.
She grinned widely. "Yes!" She, pulling him up. "Yes, Yuki, yes!"

Yuki beamed. He kissed her lips, then pulled the ring out of its box, slipping it on the correct finger. Good, he'd gotten the correct size. How embarrassing it would have been if it were the wrong size! The ring had cost a lot, but really, it was worth it. Money wasn't an issue, anyway.
"It looks beautiful on you," he pointed out, kissing her again.

Ember beamed as well. "I'm so happy!" She squealed, throwing her arms around him after the kiss. "I'm so happy!" She repeated.

Yuki grinned. "I am too. You have no idea," he murmured as he kissed the top of her head. "I had wanted to take you to a restaurant or do something that was more romantic, but I couldn't think of anything, and it would have been pointless to take you somewhere where you couldn't eat or drink."

Ember grinned. "This is romantic enough." She told him honestly.

"It is?" Yuki questioned, arching an eyebrow. The sun wasn't even setting! It was just a plain old cloudy day in the park.

"Yeah, of course." Ember said. "It's where we first met, and your here, that makes it plenty romantic."

Yuki blushed and looked down.
"Think so? That's too nice of you," he said. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders now and pecked her on the forehead.
"Ah, what should we do now? To celebrate?" He grinned at her.

Ember grinned. "Of course I think so." She said. And then to his second question. "I dunno... did you have anything in mind?" She asked.

"Not really," Yuki replied with a laugh. "I may be a little like my brother," he admitted, "But not so much that I plan the entire night out," he said, smirking lightly.

Ember giggled. "Maybe we could walk around for a bit." She suggested to him.

((Something needs to happen. LoL))
Yuki grinned.
"Sure," he said, shrugging and starting to walk around.
"Was it you that I met in the park when I was little?" He blurted suddenly, without thinking. He blushed and glanced down again, embarrassed.
