One More Time

He leaned against the wall. What had he done? He tried so hard to give it up, but it kept finding him again. He had promised Mai he'd give it up. And as he wallowed in his own self-pity, a pretty young girl walked in. The expression on her face was not as pretty as the rest of her.

Mai's eyes were watering with tears, and she had the face of anger and betrayal. "How could you?" she demanded to know, her voice quivering. "HOW COULD YOU?" her voiced raised as anger bubbled inside her.
Akkikos stared at the ground in shame. He stood and came to the bars, not daring to look his sister in the eye.
"You promised me you wouldn't buy anymore, you would quit. You said it was getting better!" Mai shouted at him.
Akkikos spoke quietly. "I thought it was, Mai. I really did. I knew it was hurting me. And everyone else. I knew you were running out of cash to bail me out. I was trying so hard." he whispered.
A tear escaped her bright eyes. "Well you obviously didn't try hard enough." she accused, and Akkikos nodded. "I have bills to pay. I'm not bailing you out. You can stay here and rot for all I care. You deserve it." and with these words she left.

Akkikos knew it was true as he slumped onto the hard mattress. Ever since his mother died, he had been getting into trouble. Every time, Mai or Kemp bailed him out. He was ruining their lives, and his. Akkikos stared at the ceiling, watching the lights flicker as he thought of a way to repay them for their kindness.

"Well, sounds like you messed up." Bandit had been caught a couple times before. This time it was just for stealing someones wallet. No big deal really. His sister was coming to get him a little later. She couldn't be there now though. Maybe Raven would come instead. It wasn't like they had caught him by a body or anything so it wouldn't be to much money to get him out. Of course, he was considering the fact that he had killed before and was lucky that he hadn't been caught with something like that.

The werewolf looked off to the side. This boy smelled like drugs and alcohol. He himself had never been into that type of stuff. Though Keiji mentioned he had, had to sell drugs for his mother and she had gotten into drugs. Then Adalina had said her father was a drunk and she though she had mentioned her mother may be into drugs also. So no people he knew into drugs. Just people with parents into that stuff.

Akkikos nodded miserably. "I promised her that I wouldn't do it anymore. I mean, it's not like I killed anyone or anything, but what I've done is just as bad." he was quiet for a moment. "Since our mother died, I've just been messing up time after time. I'd do anything for the drugs. I still do." he gulped, his voice sounding pained. "Kemp and Mai, my sisters, have used all their money to bail me out. They can't get a car or go to college, and now, because of one of my deals, Mai is going to get hurt. I've made a lot of dumb promises, a lot of stupid mistakes, and there's no way I can ever make it up to them."

"I've never gotten into drugs. And as far as I know neither has any of my... Gang. But one has a mother in that stuff." Bandit stated glancing at the boy. He looked miserable. Was miserable from what he looked like. The werewolf peered out at the human.

"What type of deal?" Maybe his 'gang' could help with that. Flight was into that 'for the good' stuff. Or at least she was now. "If you don't mind me asking." He added knowing how people can be distrusting.

Akkikos took a shuddery breath. "Last night, I cracked. I made a deal with this shady guy. I was drunk, I didn't know what I was saying. He'd seen my sister around town, thought she was really up, nice-looking." he didn't want to countinue. "Well he, uh, he wanted to um . . ." Akkikos didn't want to say the words. "He wanted me to get her to 'meet up' with him tonight." he looked away, ashamed. "So he gave me the stuff, and I gave up my sisters . . ." he shuddered, hoping the other man would understand. "he probably found her already, though. Its too late."

Bandit blinked. Well. He wouldn't have given his sister up... Maybe if he was drunk and drugged; out of his mind. Here he was finding he wanted to help. Oh god... Flight was rubbing off on him.
"It's never to late." He stated glancing out from behind the bars. "We're a gang that lets our members come and go. Leave for good if they want. Flight's taken payment from some to get them out of gangs. One of our members is from that." The werewolf said.
"We could help."

((Haha, Kira and I thought about something similar for Myra and Kiyoshi. 'Cept Myra is his girlfriend... But that would be an interesting thread... If you want. XD))

((IDK. Well, as least he's not letting him kill her. Just 'use' her. Ew.))

"Its too late." Akkikos repeated. Suddenly the color drained from his already pale skin. "Its too late." he suddenly seemed oblivious to Bandit, to the cell. He seemed to fold in on himself, curling into a ball and rocking back and forth. "Oh my Godm its too late for her." he felt tears coming. "And she won't bring herself to kill it. Its too late."

((Heheh... Yeah, I understand. That's happened to several characters... Okay... All of which Kira's... XD))

Bandit felt sorry for him. Mostly his sister. Well, then it was too late. He glanced up; then back at Akkikos. He didn't know what to say.
Well; he didn't really have to. The door was opened. "Your bails been payed, Bandit." Bandit looked up. Good; Flight was here. She came back to the room and sighed.
"You need to be more careful." The pack leader stated after the cop left.
He looked over at her walking over; he glanced at Akkikos then back at Flight. "He needs help." The werewolf stated.

Flight blinked. "Wait, what?" She was confused and glanced back at the other boy in the cell. He did look a little... Scared? Well, from the way he was sitting he'd either lost it or done something he's regretting. "Fine. C'mon." She said gesturing to Bandit and walking out.
Bandit followed smirking slightly.

The prison guard returned to allow Akkikos out.

Flight walked over to the boy. Bandit was leaning against the bars on the outside. "Come on then." She said. "Even if it's too late we can find your sister." Bandit had given her that much information. At least he wanted to help instead of being insensitive and ignoring the whole situation.

Akkikos looked confused for a long minute. "Thank you." he said absently, stumbling out of his cell. He nodded to the prison guard, who put a firm hand on his arm. "If you show up here again, you won't be getting out." he said warningly, and Akkikos just nodded. The guard allowed him to leave, shaking his head.

Akkikos looked to Bandit. "I don't think she will want to hear from me anytime soon. But could you give her this for me?" he said, holding out a wad of cash for him to take to his sister. "Tell her I'll find a way to make it up to her. Here's where she should be." he quickly scribbled down an address, and moved to walk in the opposite direction. "Tell her I'm sorry."

Bandit nodded slightly. Flight came up to stand with him. She sighed. "Lets go." The leader stated leaving.

"But..." The other werewolf started in but was silenced with a glance. The leader took the paper and looked at the address.
"Come on." Flight glanced back at where Akkikos had walked off. "I really think he should have come though..." She said trailing off.
"Well; I've got her scent for the most part." Bandit stated following her out. "Plus the address..."

"Thank you." Akkikos said.

He walked the streets for hours, until he came upon a strange looking girl. She stared up at him, red eyes gleaming. "What is the worst thing you could do to me?" Akkikos said suddenly, his voice breaking. Dove did not reply, just shook her head. Akkikos knew something was different about her, even if she was young. "Please. I shouldn't be allowed to stay alive like this. Do the worst thing you can. I don't care what it is, because I deserve it." he held his wrists out, in surrender.

Dove looked him over. Maybe it would be good for him, to become a vampire. So she bit him.

His eyes widened, and he slumped to the ground. He began to writhe and twist on the cement, and she moved him to a sheltered alley. She watched until he lay still, then disappeared. She would watch him, to make sure he didn't kill too many humans.

Fight looked over at Bandit. "Come on then." She said walking up to the house and knocking on the door.
Bandit followed standing just behind her side. "Sh**... I don't know his name. Just hers." He said looking over at Flight.
"It's fine." She said; shrugging.

Mai pulled herself up from the chair. He had not been gentle with Mai's skinny, delicate frame. She felt the pain now, but the bruises would show tomorrow. She looked a bit lost, dead on her feet. She opened the door a crack, making sure he wasn't back. There were strangers, but they looked friendly enough. "Hello." Mai said, her eyes looking past them.

Kemp rose to stand beside her sister, putting a hand on her shoulder. She looked extremley angry, but she had to be gentle with Mai, until she got over the shock. Then she would bail Akkikos out and kill him. Kemp clenched her fist, but patted Mai's shoulder with the other. How could their own BROTHER let this happen?

"Er... Hi." Bandit said glancing down. He then got the money out of his pocket and held it out to Mai. "This is from your brother. Ah, Mai." The werewolf said simply.

Flight felt a prickle of anger and glanced at Bandit. Why had he have her let that boy out? It was pretty obvious he deserved to rot in jail. "Even so; we did not catch his name." She said.
"He said he's sorry." Bandit added recalling what Akkikos had asked him to tell his sister.
"And we got him out of jail." Flight threw in.

Mai's expression didn't change as she took the money from the strangers. "Okay," she said faintly, before Kemp gently nudged her away. She stepped outside, closing the door behind her. "Look, I don't know who you are, but you shouldn't have let my brother out. I don't care what he did or said, he shouldn't be outside. What was the bail? I'll pay you back." she said quickly, glancing back at Mai.

Bandit glanced down. "I felt bad for him..." He said trailing off. "She's rubbing off on me." He said pointing at Flight.
Flight rolled her eyes. "Anyway, you don't have to pay us back." She said simply. "I wouldn't have gotten it out if we couldn't have done so, or expected to be payed back." The werewolf added. Then she glanced back at the door. "So... Is she okay?" She asked looking back at Kemp.

Kemp reluctantly put the money back in her pocket. "I don't know. I think she's shocked, mostly." Kemp said shakily. "I think she's just surprised Akkikos would go this far. We knew it was bad, but we had no idea..." she shook her head angirly. "She'll be fine by tomorrow. I figure she'll be really angry. I mean, thats understandable."

"Mm, if Bandit ever did anything like this to me or Raven I would seriously hurt the man then come and kill Bandit. Raven would probably do the oppisote to the people though..." Flight said trailing off with a glance at Bandit. Her threats were promises.

"I don't do drugs or alcohol." Bandit replied making a face. "Er... As far as I saw and knew he was really sorry. And understood enough how bad he'd gotten." The werewolf said. Then added, "Not that I'm defending him or anything..." He trailed off at the end glancing down off to the side.

Kemp shrugged. "Well, thanks anyways." she said, opening her door. "See you around." her voice could be heard cursing Akkikos as the door closed behind her.
