Akito was walking around Tokyo. She had a couple bags, carrying them while clad in blue jeans and a white shirt, with a nice gray jacket over that. Her hair laid a few inches below her shoulders, and she shook her head to whip her bangs out of her face, though they simply fell back in place and aggravated her. She sighed inwardly. Several would think she'd probably been shopping, which she had been. But not for clothes or make up. She'd been running errands. That was her job as head of house, after all. She looked around. D**n it, no benches where she could sit down and 'rest'. Not that she needed it. It was nice to sit down for a while, though. She glanced at the curb. It wasn't strange to sit on it. Quite a few people did. She shrugged and took a seat next to a child. It looked like a boy, but the kid's scent said otherwise. She glanced at the kid out of the corner of her eye.
"Mm, hello," she mumbled quietly. By now she'd gotten used to her new voice, and didn't wince at it. "You don't mind if I sit here, do you?"

Shikoba glanced up at the person. Normally she would have simply stood and left. But what the h*ll; she was tired. And really didn't feel like moving for some random person. Time to put paranoia aside and deal with life.
"No." She said simply; wondering why people always asked if they could sit next to you at a public place. Like on a bench; or in this case, a curb. Glancing at the person with her grayish blue eyes she then flicked her gaze back to the road. Three years. Back and forth between the streets and her fathers house. It was not what she had expected. She had lied and told him she had found her mother and she would stay with her. After that he didn't seem to care where she went; though he was still oddly... Clingy? He didn't like to let go of things or people. Though she knew for a fact that he was never abandoned; except for her mother. Maybe that was just his problem... But still; she wished that he would show he wanted her around instead of freaking out and becoming physical with things. It was rather annoying. And it hurt.
She wondered vaguely if her mother had even stayed in Japan. Then her attention drifted back to the plum black haired woman who had asked to sit next to her. People were odd.

Akito nodded. Almost was if reading Shikoba's thoughts, though she hadn't been, she almost awkardly murmured, "I don't understand why people ask that... I just figure it's polite." Why not make conversation with the person sitting next to her? Nothing wrong with it. She glanced into her bags to make sure she'd gotten everything she'd needed. She looked over at Shikoba again, almost curiously. She wanted to ask, but for all she knew, the girl was just a major tom-boy and was dressing like that just because she liked it. Or this person was a boy, with an extremely feminine scent. She mentally shook it off. "I'm Akito Cullen. You?" She asked.
((She would have just adopted Devon's name again. xD 'Cause she misses being a Cullen. LoL =pats Akkii-chan.=))

"Shikoba." The girl replied. This person had odd gold eyes. They were like a lot of other peoples eyes around here. Though half these people weren't related or anything. Though gold was supposedly a color of eye that was hard to be born with. Maybe gold contacts(sp) were a new fashion thing. Her for one, wasn't one to get into fashion things. Though that was probably good; for she didn't really have to worry about being too girly. And to think she had managed to get past her father while pretending to be boy. Maybe he just hadn't been paying attention. Who knew?
Now what she found odd was how Akito read her... Or maybe the woman had just thought of it as Shikoba had. Still was odd. She realized she was probably making it hard for a conversation. But she wasn't much of a talker...
((XD And when I was getting my test the lady asked me twice if I wore contacts. XDD Mom said it was probably cause my eyes were so blue and then when I was getting the permit the lady though it was because my eyes were kinda shiny. I thought she had just gotten confused and thought she hadn't asked. XD Bleh... My post is suckish. xP))

Akito nodded. "Nice to meet you," she mumbled absently. Of course, the curiosity came back when she couldn't think of anything to talk about. "Ah, Shikoba-san, you're a girl, aren't you?" She asked quietly, for now throwing caution to the wind. She tried to say it the way Saki had said it to her, but it had come out in a quieter, almost timid tone.

Shikoba glanced at Akito. People had asked her this question before. Most the time she just said sure to whatever the person asked. So if they asked if she was a girl it would be a yes and if a boy a sure. "That's an odd question to ask." She said lightly glancing off to the side.
"But, yeah. Nice of you to notice... I guess..." The girl added still looking off to the side.

Akito nodded. She probably would have been blushing. "It's just, it looked like you were dressin to look like a boy, so I was curious," she admitted.

Shikoba shrugged. "It doesn't bother me. I've been asked before." She replied nonchalantly.

Akito nodded slowly. She wondered if she should mention that she'd pretended to be a boy most of her childhood, but what was the point in that? Was it relevent at all in the least? What did it matter? It was all in the past, after all.
"How old are you?" Akito asked 'brilliantly'. Note the sarcasm.

"Er; fifteen." Shikoba replied glancing back over at the woman. She wondered vaguely why this person was speaking to her. The girl kind of wanted to leave. Yet she didn't feel like giving up her seat. So she stayed for now... Maybe part of her just wanted company.

Akito nodded, attempting at thinking of something else to say.
"What are you doing out here all alone?" She asked. Usually kids were with friends when they came out to town, weren't they?

Shikoba shrugged. "No particular reason..." She replied.
