Tohru and her friends had made plans to go to the mall today. At the last minute, she'd called Aerith and invited her to come along. At the moment, the short brunette was waiting in the mall's food court with Arisa, Saki, Akito, and even Kureno. Akito wasn't talking much, and looked a little guilty as she stared at the cane Kureno was using. Tohru wondered if Akito would be all right. She wasn't speaking at all right now. Tohru knew what happened. They all knew. Three years ago, Akito had stabbed Kureno in the back with a knife, and now he needed to support himself with a cane.
"Aa-chan," Saki spoke in her slightly eerie voice. "Your waves are so upset and wrestless. You should relax," she said.
Arisa smiled and lightly socked Akito in the shoulder. "Yeah, Akito. Jeez, like Saki said. Relax. Nobody's mad at you."
Akito just shook her head. "Sorry," she mumbled. They all wandered until they found an empty table. Kureno eased into a chair, holding back a quiet groan as he sat slowly. It still hurt sometimes. Today wasn't the best day.
Right now, they were all waiting for Aerith to show up. Tohru stood up to watch for the older woman and smiled when she saw her. She waved Aerith over.

Aerith waved back. She walked over to the group. "Hello everyone," she said cheerfully.

"Yo," Arisa said.
"Ah, Gain-chan," Saki said. "Nice to see you. This is our friend Akito, and Arisa's boyfriend, Kureno."
Akito glanced up upon hearing her name be mentioned. "Hajimashite," she said absently, giving Aerith a polite smile before falling into her thoughts again.
Arisa snapped her fingers right in front of Akito's face. "Hey! Jeez, wake up," she said, laughing as Akito jumped back in her chair out of surprised. She really was that out of it.
Akito shook her head. "Erm, sorry," she said.
Kureno chuckled lightly then looked up at Aerith. He grabbed his cane and stood up just to bow in greeting. He kept a pained expression off his face, then sat back down. "Nice to meet you," he told Aerith lightly.
"G*d, you're an idiot," Arisa said good-naturedly. "And you're just like Tohru. Why do I have a thing for idiots?" She laughed and smiled at Tohru. Neither Kureno or Tohru were offended by the remark.
"I wouldn't say that they're idiots," Akito said awkwardly.
Arisa just smiled at Akito. Akito still felt new to this tiny group of friends, and obviously she sometimes didn't get it. She wondered if she should have brought Mary along. That would have been fun....

Aerith sat down next to Tohru. "Its nice to meet you as well," she said to Akito. When Kureno bowed, Aerith saw the painful look," oh, my goodness! Please, if it hurts you, you don't have to bow, just saw hello."

Kureno laughed a little. "Eheheh... I guess that would be wise, wouldn't it?"
Akito smiled a little at Kureno... once her bird. He was one of her best friends when she was a child. But with the distance apart now, even though she felt extremely close to him, she wasn't sure if he felt the same anymore. Oh, G*d, she wished she could just do her entire life over, do things right... She shook her head to get out of the reverie.
"Are any of you hungry? I'll buy," Akito volunteered. It would take her mind off of everything
"Sure," Arisa said.
"Steak..." Saki said.
"Oh, I'll buy my own, Akito-sa--" She cut herself of and smiled, correcting her self. "Akkii-chan."
Akito laughed lightly. "Just tell me what you want, Tohru-kun. It's not a problem."
"Um... salmon terriyaki...?" Tohru requested timidly.
"I'll get the same," Arisa agreed.
"Kureno?" Akito asked.
"Heh, I don't know what I'll get. Hm... shrimp and chicken terriyaki." He winked at Akito. Her and Tohru were the only ones who would get it. Akito laughed. Arisa looked confused and Saki, as usual, looked blank.
"Inside joke," Akito stated simply, smirking now.
Tohru laughed almost nervously.
"Aerith-san, are you hungry?" Akito asked Aerith politely.

Aerith nodded lightly," I'll have the....chickhen salad. And I'll buy for myself. I don't want to impose..."

Akito waved the last two sentences of her statement away with her hand. "You're not imposing. I'm fine with buying everything." It's not like it would really affect her. Her family was one of the most wealthy in Tokyo... maybe in the entire country of Japan...

((I said ONE OF. XDDD The Sohmas are sooo not the wealthiest. But they're one of the wealthiest.))
Akito nodded and walked off to go to the correct booths to make orders.
"I'd better go help her," Arisa mumbled when she realized Akito would have to carry back a lot of food. Kureno limped along with her, keeping up with ther the entire time.
