Christmas spirit... Well, she was mostly putting up a tree for Chiasa who was bouncing around while she dug it out of the box. She set the tree down and looked back in the box checking to see if she'd missed something.
"Mommy, mommy, come on!" Chiasa chirped. She was practically bouncing off the walls. She liked Christmas. And this year it would be with both mommy and daddy. It was bound to be a good one. She looked at the shiny ornaments, a gleam in her eyes. She smiled slightly and added, "I wanna put the star on top!"
Myra smirked then laughed. "Sure, sure. Kiyoshi... Help me put the tree up..." She said holding up the instructions with her head hanging. Decorating it she didn't mind so much, putting it together, well, she'd like a bit of help. Last year it had taken her about three hours. Seriously. "Just tell me what to do, 'cause I don't know. It's too confusing." She stated, making a face.
Chiasa sat down next to Myra before getting up on her knees and grabbed Myra's arm in her hand. "Hey, hey, what colors are the lights?" She asked. The girl was rather talkative.
"I don't know, a bunch of different ones?" Myra tried with a slight smile at her daughter. Hers and Kiyoshi's. Before Kiyoshi had came into her life she had never thought it possible to really love someone so much. Then she had Chiasa and was positive she was going to screw up and be a terrible mother, like her parents. God forbid.
((Eh... XP Sorry about the crappy title... XD I'm sorry... I'll leave you to see the humor in it. LoL.))

Kiyoshi hobbled into the room, still a bit off balance from his lack of an arm on one side.
"I'll do it." He said to her, taking the instructions out of her hands. He gazed at the instructions once, and being a stubborn man he did what all men do with instructions, he tossed them aside.
"Okay... this is the bottome peice." He said, digging that peice out and setting it where the Christmas tree would go. Now onto the next peice...

"If you can do it without instructions in less then an hour you are far superior then me." Myra stated shrugging slightly. But she still looked over at the instructions. "This one is next." She stated pointing at the bottom piece of the tree.
Chiasa watched semi-interested in the actual building of the tree. Though she would rather decorate it...

Kiyoshi just nodded and grunted at what Myra said.
"Yeah. I can do this." He mumbled, he picked up the next peice of the tree, but just in the process of turning around to stick it on, he tripped over his own two feet and stubbled while trying to catch himself and get back on balance, which was hard to do with one arm.
He cursed loudly when he almost fell and dropped the peice of the tree. Blush rose to his cheek and he bent over to get the peice of tree, glaring at it.

Myra gave a slight smile, knowing it would be Kiyoshi's pride that was hurt more then anything by the stumble. Though she didn't think he needed to worry, it wasn't like she'd find him lesser for any stumbles he happened to make. Not just literal ones either.
"You okay?" She asked. Chiasa had giggled a bit. She couldn't help it, it was funny seeing dad trip! Then cursed. Myra hadn't exactly thought of the curse as something Chiasa would copy so she didn't mention it. Till Chiasa giggled. "Chiasa, don't copy your fathers language." She stated with a slight smirk.

"'M perfectly fine." Kiyoshi mumbled, jabbing the peice of tree where it belonged and scowling at it. Stupid tree...
"Don't say that, Chiasa, it's bad." He told the girl a bit sternly then needed, but mostly because he was upset at the fact that he tripped.

"Okay..." Chiasa said looking down feeling rather like she was being scolded.
Myra glanced over at Chiasa. "It's alright, he's just upset 'cause he tripped." She stated. So the child nodded a bit. Then she looked over at the tree parts.
"Here." Myra picked up the discarded instructions peering at them with a rather confused gaze. She looked over at the tree pieces. "Nevermind, these things couldn't be more vague. Myra got up and walked over to lean over and kiss Kiyoshi on the cheek. "Relax, it's just a tree." She said putting her arms loosely around him.

Kiyoshi pride was probably fized at this point. I mean, being kissed and hugged by a pretty girl is the best way to restore a man's pride. Kiyoshi kissed her back.
"... But I want to set it up." He said, sounding a little bit like a stubborn child. In truth, he didn't want to feel useless.

Myra laughed a bit now. "That's fine, but you still need to relax. It's fine." She replied rather softly. "Besides, it's still just a tree." She added with another, soft, laugh.
((If we run out of ideas, Harley can come and take a piece of the tree and run off with it. XD That would be funny... I think... XDD))

Kiyoshi sighed.
"Yeah, yeah, I know." He said to her while pulling away from her grasp and grabbing another part of of tree, and taking it over to stick it on.
"When I'm done, Chiasa, I'll pick you up so you can stick the star on top." Kiyoshi told his litte girl, trying to make amends for snapping at her earlier.

Chiasa smiled and nodded rather eagerly. "Okay." She chirped, happy with this and easily forgetting being snapped at.
Myra just smiled slightly and went back to sitting on the floor. She looked back at the pieces sifting through them. Some time during this Harley came in to watch with wide eyes, staring curiously. The dog had gotten quite large over the month. His ears were strange, one being standing like a German Shepherds the other floppy. His fur was starting to look like a standard shepherds as well. Now he had a rather mischievous personality. When Myra looked over at Chiasa he jumped up and took a piece of the tree and running off.
"Harley, get back here!" Myra called after him in between laughing.
((I went back and modified to add the doggy. XD Cause I is losing muse. XD Still kinda meh though... XP))

((Happy scenes aren't just mah cup of tea. D=))
Kiyoshi cursed again and hobbled after the dog as well, shaking it fist.
"Give me back that peice of tree or I'll skin you and wear you as a scarf, you mangy mutt!" He yelled after the dog, but there was also a grin on his face. He pretened to hate Harley, though in reality, he pretty much loved that silly sog.

Chiasa giggled and stood up. "Harley!" She called to the dog. Harley was quite close to the girl, despite her tiger scent, that would resemble a cats. As she called the dog stopped running from Kiyoshi, and instead bounded over to Chiasa. He slid and stopped in front of her, standing and dropping the tree piece at her feet. The girl giggled again and pet the dog on the head. "Good Harley." She said.
Myra laughed a bit, smiling as Chiasa was able to call the dog to her so easily. "Come 'ere you mutt." She said. Harley looked back over at her before lowering his head and starting forward to the woman. Myra patted his head, along with Chiasa who had come back over. "Okay Kiyoshi, we've subdued the beast. Now grab the piece before he gets free." She said; still smiling.

Kiyoshi snorted, and patted the dog once on the head before stooping over to pick up the peice, now covered in slober. He turned to the dog.
"Nice goin', Harley." He said a bit sarcasticly to the animal, before placing it in it's proper place on the tree.

Myra smirked slightly and looked back at the rest of the tree pieces. "You're doing much better then me." She stated. Chiasa yawned and walked over to sit in Myra's lap.
"You're not tired are you?" Myra asked the girl with a light smile.
Chiasa shook her head vigorously. "Nu-uh. Not at all." She replied, then stifled a yawn. " 'm not tired." She mumbled.
Myra smirked slightly at the girl. "Okay, okay. Kiyoshi, you need any help?" She decided to ask.

Kiyoshi shook his head.
"Nope, almost done." He said in a cheerfully voice. "Only a few more pieces, if I don't trip over myself and this doesn't fall apart." Kiyoshi said, grabbing the other peice with his one hand and placing it on.
Kiyoshi grinned over at his daughter.
"You look tired to me." He teased her lightly.

Chiasa shook her head no. "I'm not tired though." She stated. Then looked up at Myra. "Moooom... I'm not tired." She whined.
Myra laughed shaking her head a bit. "You can finish putting up the tree with us, okay?" She said; smiling. The woman leaned forward a bit, wrapping her arms around the girl and kissing her on the head.
Chiasa leaned back against her mother, happy with being held for the moment.
