A person dies ... only a few circles in the water prove that they was ever there. And even they quickly disappear. And when they're gone, they're forgotten, without a trace, as if they'd never even existed. And that's all Kira anxiously waited at the window of her old house. she had been staying here for a while. At least untill things... calmed down. Went back to normal. She had explained to Hatori and he said he had no problem with letting her stay there for a while. It was her family, after all. She looked tired, though. Dark circles were under her eyes and she spaced out at times. Though she didn't look nearly as bad as the girl in the other room. She had called Kyo, Hatori, and Tadao here. She figured Kyo would probably take it the best and wouldn't freak or anything, causing her to try and escape or attack someone. When people moved to fast or tried to touch her, she turned as skiddish as a horse. Though she really wasn't all that strong from laying in the ground for several months, she could still pack a punch. But for now, Kira waited. And she would wait for the three to get here, then tell them because they deserved to know. Kira cast a glance at the other room. You wouldn't be able to tell anyone was in there. The door was pulled shut and the light off. But she was in there all right... Weither or not she was still sane was a different question. ((BLeh. What ever. It sucks. XD)) |

Kyo showed up first. Tadao had to wait until he had a break, and Hatori was busy at the Main House. He walked into the house without knocking, since it pretty much felt natural. He remembered when they all still lived at this house. He'd just walk in. He walked over to where Kira was.
"Hey," he said a little tiredly. He'd just finished training some kids in martial arts. Yeesh, that was exhausting...

"Hey." Kira said with a smile. "You look tired." She commented. She thought it would be best to show Kyo first. She would show him soon. No need to rush, really. Shade would be here for a while.

Kyo nodded. He sat down beside her. "Yeah. Sishou's dojo was really busy." He'd been hanging out over there when he'd been asked to come over. He'd simply finished up the class for Kazuma and then left. "Kids are a huge handful. Especially when their form sucks." He smiled at her. "How're you?"

Kira laughed at his comment.
"I've been fine, I suppose." She said with a light shrug. "Something did happen... I don't know if it's good or bad. I called you here because I figured you might want to know." She said, standing up now.

Kyo stood up as well. "All right, what is it?" He asked, smiling at her still. He wasn't totally over his best friend's death, but because he still had Tohru around, and Kira, and the others, he found he was able to smile.
Oh, G*d, Tohru was rubbing off on HIM!

Kira nodded once and lead him to the room. She slowly opened the door to the darkened room and looked inside.
"Honey... ?" She called softly.
The room had not been used in quite some time and was more of a storage place. Amongst the stacked cardboard boxed sat a huddled up figure. Her legs where pulled up to her chest, her forhead resting against her knees and her arms wrapped around her thin, paler figure.
There was no answer.
Kira gently pulled Kyo in.
"... Some one is here to see you..."
Still, no sound came from her, but the girl did look up slowly. She jerkily but slowly cocked her head to one side, producing an eerie effect. One as if she were posessed. But it was good that she recognized the words.
And it surely was Shade.
Her eyes drifted past her mother and landed on Kyo. She stayed in her hudled position while she studied him.

Kyo's eyes widened and his jaw dropped. He just stood there gaping open-mouthed.
"Sh-Shade... She's... but I... I-I was there... she died... Kira, what's going on?" He asked, turning to his mother-like figure. This made no sense. It's not like he was unhappy that Shade was alive, but... What the he**?!

"It's hard to explain. Try not to talk to loud or make any sudden movements, she's really... skiddish." Kira said. "We found a Fae. I'm not sure if you're familar with those but in summary they're creatures different from vampires, shifters and werewolves. This one could bring people back from the dead." Kira paused for a moment.
"We tried to bring her back. I-I'm not sure that it worked..." Kira dropped her gaze to the floor. She rested one hand her her stomach.
"They tooks things when we had to bring her back. Kiyoshi lost his arm... it's severed all the way to his shoulder. Several of my organs are missing..." Kira shot a glance at the girl sitting there.
"She looks like Shade... but I'm not that Shade is in there... you know?" She said, glancing up at the taller man.

Kyo nodded. "Holy sh**," he mumbled. He took slow, measured strides toward Shade. He stopped a good distance away and bent over just slightly.
"Shade?" He asked quietly.

Shade looked up at him and scrunched herself into an even tighter ball. She continued to watch him with her green eyes, almost as if trying to deicide if she knew him, and if he would hurt her or not.

"Shade, it's me, Kyo," he said, looking at her with his intense crimson eyes. "Do you remember?"
There was a knock at the door that led inside the house, followed by it opening and Hatori striding in. Tadao came in just after his brother. They'd sort of arrived at the house at the same time.
"Kira?" Hatori called quietly, following his wife's intoxicating scent. It was mixed with something else. But it smelled like Shade... no, that wasn't possible...
He found the room Kyo and Kira were in.
Hatori was shocked into silence when he saw his step-daughter.
"Shade!" Tadao gasped, eyes widening. "But..." He turned to Kira, looking confused.

Shade's head snapped to Tadao. She began to look frantic, the two people suddenly appearing had startled her, and was now begining to panic.
"Sh, stay calm." Kira warned them, bitting her lip with antcipation. Kira took Hatori's hand in her own, looking up at him, as if to see if he was possibly mad at her.

Tadao nodded obediantly, shutting his mouth.
Hatori pushed some hair from Kira's eyes. "What's going on?" He asked her.
Kyo remained watching Shade like a cat would watch just about anything that really caught its interest. Kyo was hoping Shade might recognize him. He inched a little closer, slowly.

Shade watched Kyo again, shrikning underneath his crimson gaze.
"We found a fae that could bring Shade back. That's how Kiyoshi lost his arm and I lost my organs." Kira said softly at Hatori. "We're not sure if we brought her back... right..."

"It... it worked then?" Tadao asked. Kira had told him and Hatori about the attempt. But both of them had assumed it hadn't worked.
"Almost," Hatori corrected Tadao. But then he added, a little reassuringly, "Maybe it'll get better with time."
"Shade, it's me, Kyo. Don't you remember?" He repeated what he said earlier. He forced any urgency out of his voice and made himself calm as possible. "Please," he whispered.
Shade was practically his sister. And if there was a possiblity of having her back, he didn't want to lose that chance.

Shade still didn't say anything and diverted her attention to Hatori and Tadao. Kyo being so close her was making her uncomfortable.
"Maybe. Hopefully." Kira told Hatori and Tadao.
