Palla found a note outside her front door that morning, written on a yellow sticky note. She peeled it off the door and read it quickly.

Come to my house

Palla smiled and got in her car, a used Ford Fusion. She was driving slowly up his street, when she saw him standing outside his house on his porch. She was getting out of her veichle when she saw someone else with him.

It seemed odd that this random girl would be here. Shani couldn't even remember her name. He looked down slightly at the girl; being a bit taller. Though he could change that if he wanted to. Back to the subject. She said she wanted to see him and that she really liked him. Blah, blah, blah. Useless feelings, so untrue. "Look-" He started but was cut off. The girl threw a glance over her shoulder as the car drove up and stepped up putting her arms around him and kissing him.

This would hurt that emo freak.

((XD And they don't drive till they're 18 in Japan.))

Palla froze. She felt the blood drain from her face, and her head spun. She leaned against the car for support, trying to stay upright. She felt her whole body shake, trying to contain the werewolf inside her. She waited until the girl was gone, before she walked up the front steps. "Three years, Shani." she whispered, her throat tight and her eyes watery. "Three years of my life I have wasted on you. I give you everything I have, and you go off and do this." she swept her arm to motion at the girl who was gone. "Whatever you have to say, I don't want to hear it." she tried to keep the tears from falling, but one managed to slip away. Barley able to speak, Palla gave him one last thing to remember her by. She slapped him across the face, hoping it hurt him more than anything. She tore the necklace he had given her off her neck and threw it on the ground, along with a bracelet and a pair of earrings. She turned around and exploded into a wolf before she could stop herself, and leaving her car in the street, she ran as fast as she could.

Sh**. What was she doing here? If she hadn't been here he could have explained later. Well, the slap had hurt considering it was a changeling, though not just a changeling to him, giving it. Shani practically jumped off the porch and ran after her. The changelings were so fast! He hissed and used an illusion. A wall. Though a wall popping up would be odd. Who cared. So long as she stopped and listened to him.

A wall came up in front of Palla and he stopped just behind her.
"Palla... Please, wait." He said pausing a moment. "I swear I didn't cheat on you; or kiss her; or kiss her back." Fae can't lie. Though he was an illusionist... Who knew what she would believe.

Palla turned on him, her teeth bared. Her mind was in a blur as she snapped at him. Her whole body was still shaking, the pain of him straying from her stabbing her like a thousand knives. But her eyes were the worst. They showed only pain, confusion, and betrayal. "LEAVE ME ALONE!" she screamed, not even wondering if he woud be able to understand. She snarled advancing on him. She didn't hear his words, but if she had, she wouldn't have believed him.

Shani didn't back down. But he knew she didn't believe him. The Fae gave in looking down. He wasn't going to run off. Or leave it with her thinking he had betrayed her. He sunk down onto the ground and looked back out at her. His eyes were serious; same as his expression. He went ahead and let the wall down. Though he hoped she didn't run off.
"Please, Palla? I didn't mean any harm. I did not betray you as you think." Maybe if he repeated it enough she would listen...

Palla watched him carefully, her eyes never leaving him. He's lying. He's lying. her mind screamed at her. But Palla, being Palla, had to know. "Prove it. Prove you still love me." she snarled viciously, hoping to scare him into giving up and going home. She felt the wall come down, and she began to back away a few steps.

Shani glanced down then back at Palla. Of course, he was not scared away. He loved her. He wasn't going to leave because he was forced to prove it. "I'm not sure what I can say, or give you to do so. But as I have said. Fae cannot lie; and I would do anything for you." It was a little scary to think that he really would do anything for her. If it called for lying he would fake it which must have been enough, since he could say that.

"What would you have me to do to prove it?"

Palla was silent for a long moment. Holding his gaze, she backed away even further, retreating closer and closer to the trees, before she turned on her heels and vanished into the edge of the woods.

She hadn't listened to him earlier. Maybe she would now. Shani leaned against the side of Palla's house just thinking of how to convince her he had meant her no harm. That he had simply been about to tell the girl he had a girlfriend and to leave. Though he was tempted to go to the girls house and chew her out, not in the literal sense. Although that would have been nice if it was legal...

"Palla, I swear I didn't kiss that girl or betray you..." He sighed, his practice wasn't working so well. The Fae didn't know what to say. He leaned his head over slightly putting it in his hands. Glancing at her house he wondered if she would move in with him... Maybe that would be some sort of proof he loved her. The Fae leaned his head back against the wall and shook his head slightly. He didn't know what to do or say to her; how to help.

(( I has an idea! Maybe he could ask her to marry him, but not have a wedding until their older or something. That would be proof. And it would be super adorable. XD ))

Palla sat exacty where she had been four hours ago. Curled up on her bed, sniffling patheticly and wiping stray tears away from her red, puffy eyes. She hadn't moved from that spot, not even when the phone rang, or Sam came to her door. Even if her stomach was growling for food, she didn't move.

Her face was blank, expressionless. She stared off into oblivion, wondering absently how she could stay in that place forever.

Shani sighed and turned slightly. He knocked on the door. After a moment of thought he just opened the door since he didn't think she would want to, or that she would at all, let him in. The Fae had an idea. Though he wasn't sure how well it would work. If she would take it as proof.

"Palla?" He murmured; stepping in. Walking back to where he heard her he peaked in her room; hesitant. "I... Think I know how to prove it." He stated staying in the doorway with a glance down.

Palla wiped her eyes, and her expression turned hard. Her sad eyes turned to look at him. "How?" she said coldly, closing the door and standing in front of him, her feet spread apart in a fighting stance and her arms crossed over her chest. Her teeth were clenched together, and she wondered what he was possibly going to do.

"I'll propose. To marry you. When we get a little older; we can have a wedding." Shani said; completely serious. As long as she would stop being angry with him and trust him again. "I love you, Palla." He said softly.

"You're lying." Palla replied simply. He would have just walked in and got dow on one knee. That was typically Shani. Palla narrowed her eyes, wondering if he thought she was stupid. "Get out of my house." she ordered, pointing at the door. She turned around and became very occupied with arranging the items on her desk.

But part of her hoped he was telling the truth. Part of her hoped he would ask her to marry him, to look up at her like he always did, and convince her. But hope always ended in disappointment, so Palla crushed these thoughts quickly. I am not a fool. she thought.

What did she expect exactly? He glanced down and knelt on one knee. "I'm not lying. But I don't have a ring right now. I can get one." The Fae stated, glancing down. He then looked back up at her. Though her back was turned. "Will you marry me?" He asked.

All of him hoped that she would accept. If she didn't he would just leave Japan. No use in staying without her.

Palla froze, and set the object she was holding on the desk. She turned slowly, and looked into his eyes for a very long time. My God, he wasn't lying. she thought franticly. She stared at him, and suddenly remembered she had to give him an answer. "Yes." she whispered, as if she was waiting for him to start laughing and run off with that other girl.

Shani let out a sigh of relief and grinned. He stood up and hugged her; pulling her close. "So, I'm forgiven?" He asked. Though he hadn't done anything... He just had to make sure she was okay with it now.

"I love you to much to lose you..." He murmured.
