Devon moved quickly and quietly through the house. He had to leave. The Gray Lords would be approaching the area soon, ready to wipe out anything that resembled an Imortal Child. Mary was in danger. She was close enough to be an Imortal Child to the Gray Lords that they would slaughter her like a common animal.
Devon skulked through the house untill he got to Mary's room. He needed to leave along with her. Ex-Volturi members weren't too well liked, either.
Devon appraoched the girl's bed and place a hand on her tiny shoulder and shook her gently.
"Mary... Mary, wake up." He murmured softly, picking up the girl gently. She fit perfectly in one of his arms almost.
"I'm going to take you on a trip." He told her softly, kissing her cheek, trying to waken the girl with out causing too much of a fuss.
"Get dressed and meet me out in the living room." He ordered her, his voice still low and soft as he sat her down.
He couldn't tell Akito, but the mind readers could just figure out where they were. He felt so guilty for this. Running away like the common crook. But it had to be done. It would break Akito's heart as it was breaking his, but he would be back after all of this was over.
He stepped out of Mary's room and patently waited outside.

Mary had been wimpering in her sleep. Still these nightmares came to her. But she'd caught on that they weren't gonna stop, so she didn't tell her parents about them anymore. She just suffered silently through them and did her best to banish them from her mind when she woke up. It was simply something that had happened in the past. That mean guy, Kaiser, her mother, and her father were all in the memory. But she didn't think on it. Daddy had been growling, and so had Kaiser. But oh well, he was gone now.
When her father tried to wake her up, she didn't wake up right away. When he instructed her to get dressed and then left the room she was still a little disoriented. She rubbed at her ocean-like eyes and wandered to her dresser, pulling it open. She'd pulled out some clothes and put them on, then wandered out into the living room, still seeming fairly sleepy.
"Isn't Momma coming, Daddy?" she asked quietly, pushing some tangled blonde hair away from her face. It had grown longer, even though she prefered it short, and flowed down to her shoulder blades, just as stick-straight as her mother's. "She's coming, right?"

Devon shook his head.
"No." He told Mary, picking her up again. "She's not coming, but we'll be back soon." He said, feeling bad for making the empty promise. But he was doing this for the two of them, not for himself. He would gladly give up his life to protect his family agaisnt the fae. Those evil fae who look down apon other creatures like mere toys to play with. This time, one of their 'toys' hurt them, and they bacame like an angry child, who will throw all of it's other belongings in the fire in their fit of rage.
He carried Mary out of the house.
"We'll be back soon." He gave the empty promise again.
((Blargh again. >.< We could skip a couple days where Akito starts to get really upset if we run outta idears..))

((xD She'd run to Alice. LoL But since Mary would be with him it would be hopeless. XD))
Mary frowned. "Where are we going?" she asked him. She wrapped her arms around her dad's neck, letting him hold her, letting herself relax in his one arm. Even though her growth was quicker than most childrens', she was still very tiny, just as her mother was. She sighed quietly, still quite tired.

"Anywhere we want." Devon said to her as he stepped out into the winter night. He just barely registered that it was cold outside. He had forgotten what 'cold' felt like a long time ago. But just incase, he pulled a coat around Mary.
"Where do you want to go?" He asked the girl as he continued to walk, gazing over at her with his golden eyes.

Truthfully, Mary wanted to go back inside and find her mother so she could come along. But instead she shrugged.
"Ummm... the beach?" she tried. "Or... or Greece. Momma says Greece was lots of fun when you took her there." Her mother often made little mentions of the beautiful place. How pretty the ocean was, how beautiful the city they'd stayed in was. Mary thought she might want to go there.

Devon smiled at her. "Alright. We'll go to Greece then." He told the girl. Of course Mary would want to the place Akito always talked about. Greece was... just Greece in his opinion. He had lived there in his human life, so of course, found nothing stunning in it the same way Akito did. Though he was sure she felt the same way about Japan the same way he felt about Greece.
