Oh, how about a round of applause?
Yeah, standing ovation?
You look so dumb right now
Standing outside my house
Trying to apologize
You're so ugly when you cry
Please, just cut it out
He stood on the porch of his girlfriends house. With another woman. A girl who was young, skinny, beautiful. As he pulled away from her, he waved a farewell to her. The man opened the door to his house, and the young girl flounced down the steps and across the lawn to her car.
Little did he know his girlfriend was watching.
Don't tell me you're sorry 'cause you're not
And baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught
But you put on quite a show, really had me going
But now it?s time to go, curtain?s finally closing
That was quite a show, very entertaining
But it's over now
Go on and take a bow
"Baby, you know it didn't mean anything. I said I was sorry!" he begged. "I saw you kissing her, and I know you aren't sorry. You kept up you're little charade for long enough, now get out of my house." the woman said, his (ex) girlfriend. She turned away, choking back tears.
Grab your clothes and get gone
You better hurry up before the sprinklers come on
Talking 'bout, "Girl, I love you,"
"You're the one"
This just looks like a rerun
Please, what else is on?
Don't tell me you're sorry 'cause you're not
And baby when I know you're only sorry you got caught
"GET OUT OF HERE!" she screamed, and despite his resistance, she raced ito the bedroom, throwing his things out the window of her big, beautiful house. As a piar of jeans flew out onto the grass, the tears began to fall. But he followed her in. "I SAID GET OUT!" she yelled, throwing his briefcase at him. He dodged it and it hit the wall.
But you put on quite a show, really had me going
But now it's time to go, curtain's finally closing
That was quite a show, very entertaining
But it's over now
Go on and take a bow
He ran out onto the lawn, gathering up his possesions. He watched with a grim expression as his wallet flew out the window. It was empty.
And as he ran through the gates to his car, he saw that she had put nails in his tires and thrown rocks through his windows. His leather seats were ruined with a dark liquid, the door handles ripped off, and the steering wheel nowhere to be found. As the sprinkles buzzed to life, he began to run off her property.
Oh, and the award for the best liar goes to you
For making me believe that you could be faithful to me
Let's hear your speech out
How about a round of applause?
A standing ovation?
But you put on quite a show, really had me going
Now it's time to go, curtain's finally closing
That was quite a show, very entertaining
But it's over now
Go on and take a bow
But it's over now
And she lay on her bed, crying. Black streaks ran from her eyes, her mascara ruined. A year. A year she had been with him, a year of her life and a year of her money she had given to him.
A year that she would never get back, and a year he would regret.
Yeah, standing ovation?
