The yelling and screaming continued outside her door. Kaori sat by the door frame her back against the wall; her knees were up against her chest and her arms around them. Her sister was on her bed ignoring the fight outside in the living room.
"Nami?" Kaori murmured looking over at her sister. Nami looked up from her book that was set on the bed in front of her. The girls black shaggy hair fell over her amber eyes.
"Just ignore it. They'll stop." She stated.
Kaori looked down and bit her lip. She was thirteen now. Her sister was fifteen and wanting to leave so bad. But she needed more money before she could get a bus ticket and they could both leave. "But... What if it ends badly?" She asked; her voice low.
"The worse thats happened before was that one of them got knocked out." Nami replied apparently tired.
Kaori nodded slightly and got up to climb into her own bed on the other side of the room, oppisote of Nami's.
"Okay..." She murmured trailing off.
--
Nami heard a gunshot early in the morning. It was so loud. A thud right after it. She stood up slowly and walked out into the living room. The girl put her hand over her mouth and shut her eyes tight. Her mother was sprawled out on the floor a gun in her slightly opened hand. She had shot herself. The girl sunk to the floor and shook with a sob and cried. She resisted the urge to throw up.
"Nami?" Kaori called out tentively.
"Don't come out of the room." Nami choked out. She removed her hand from her eyes and stared at the gory scene. Head wound bled a lot. The red liquid already was starting to surround the dead woman.
"What happened?" Kaori's voice was just above a whisper.
"She's dead..." Nami's wasn't much louder.
Kaori was silent. "How...?" She finally asked.
"Gun. Head... She... She... Killed herself..." Nami murmured turning to look at her sister.
"W-What?" Her sister stuttered.
"Dead. Mom is dead." Nami replied a little harshly.
Kaori pulled her knees up to her chest. The girl let out a quiet whimper and closed her eyes. "No..." This was inaudible to Nami.
--
"Shut up! You don't know anything!" Nami was screaming at their father again. Kaori peaked out of their shared room into the living room.
"You're the child, you listen to me!" Their father replied grabbing her arm and jerking her forward.
"Let go of me! You know it's your fault moms dead. You should have killed yourself!" Nami had been acting so strange since their mother died a few months ago. She had become bitter and seemed to have lost her mind.
"We were fighting over you and your sister! Maybe if you would have killed yourself she'd be alive." He snapped.
Kaori pulled herself back in her room and put her hands over her ears. "Stop..." She whisper.
"SHUT UP!" Nami screamed at him jerking away and glaring at him. "Maybe I WILL kill myself! At least I could be away from you b*****d!" She yelled at him and walked out the door slamming it behind her.
Kaori whimpered and slid back onto her bed curling up into a ball.
--
"I'm sorry Kaori. I just can't go on." Nami murmured staring down at the streets below. Her mother had shot herself, but Nami couldn't figure out the gun.
"No!" Kaori's voice was shaky. She had followed her sister. This was terrible. "You can't do this." The girl said; tears falling down her cheek onto the gray roof top. "Don't leave me..." She whimpered.
"B-But... I have to, Kaori. You'll be fine without me. There's enough money for a bus ticket under my bed. Good bye." Nami took a step and fell so far.
Kaori's eyes widened and she sunk to the ground leaning over with her arms around her stomach. "Nami..." She said more tears coming. "W-Why?" The girl asked herself; her shoulders shaking with sobs.
--
"You're staying with your aunt. I can't take care of you." This was her father. He was leaving her with her aunt. The aunt that really wasn't much better then her father. Since it was her fathers sister.
"A-Alright..." Kaori mumbled sinking lower in the back seat of the car.
Once they arrived the girl got out of the car. She looked up at the small two story house. This was her new home.

I may add more later. About how she is turned into a wolf and such. XD
