Having issues with coming up with disorders for your characters? Well, I've decided my characters need some more problems and have been looking through medical books and such to find some disorders and such for them. Because it is fun to be mean to characters. Anyway, I'm offering a bit of help in looking things up and such, I figure the guide was the best place to put this stuff. What I've gotten so far I'll throw up here. Some have to do with smoking or drinking, then since I was mostly looking for defects that are lifetime I've got those. A lot of information was gathered from google health and medical books around the house. ^^;
Oh yeah, so, if anyone feels there character is leaning toward Mary/Gary-Sue/Stu, lets get them sick! Sorry, I've mostly been looking up things to kill off some characters. Heheh... But a good place to look up more info on things is Google Health. ;D I must say though, a blind character is quite fun to play. *pokes Kirucu* And a warning, this is medical stuff so some might sound a little grotesque, if it's too much somehow I can take it off, Aki. I'm fairly immune to most of it... XD

Pulmonary Hypertension: Pulmonary hypertension is abnormally high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs. It makes the right side of the heart need to work harder than normal.
Aneurysm: An aneurysm is an abnormal widening or ballooning of a portion of an artery due to weakness in the wall of the blood vessel.
Pernicious Anemia: Pernicious anemia is a decrease in red blood cells that occurs when the body cannot properly absorb vitamin B12 from the gastrointestinal tract. Vitamin B12 is necessary for the proper development of red blood cells. Pernicious anemia is a type of megaloblastic anemia.
Sarcoidosis: Sarcoidosis is a disease in which swelling (inflammation) occurs in the lymph nodes, lungs, liver, eyes, skin, or other tissues.
Eczema: Eczema is a chronic skin disorder that involves scaly and itchy rashes. {Atopic was the type I was looking at, it is an allergic reaction that causes the Eczema.}
Paget's Disease: Paget's disease is a chronic bone condition characterized by disorder of the normal bone remodeling process.
Cataracts: A cataract is a clouding that develops in the crystalline lens of the eye or in its envelope, varying in degree from slight to complete opacity and obstructing the passage of light. {Causes blindness, though it can be fixed by an artificial lens.}
Otitis: Otitis is a general term for infection or inflammation of the ear. {I looked at Otitis Media which is a middle ear infection and can lead to temporary deafness due to inflammation and or Glue Ear}
Sensorineural Deafness: Damage to inner ear structures may be present from birth. It may also be caused by some types of drugs, prolonged exposure to loud noise, by increased fluid pressure in Meniere's disease, or by deterioration of ear structures with age.
Coronary Heart Disease: Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a narrowing of the small blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart. CHD is also called coronary artery disease.
Heart Murmur: A heart murmur is an extra or unusual sound heard during a heartbeat. Murmurs range from very faint to very loud. They sometimes sound like a whooshing or swishing noise. {The two types are Innocent Murmurs, which cause no real harm to the patient, then there are abnormal or pathological murmurs which can cause problems.}
Rheumatic Fever: Rheumatic fever is an inflammatory disease that may develop after an infection with Streptococcus bacteria (such as strep throat or scarlet fever). The disease can affect the heart, joints, skin, and brain.
Pericarditis: Pericarditis is a condition in which the sac-like covering around the heart (pericardium) becomes inflamed.
Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, HCM or HOCM, is a disease of the myocardium (the muscle of the heart) in which a portion of the myocardium is hypertrophied (thickened) without any obvious cause.
Addison's Disease: Addison’s disease (also chronic adrenal insufficiency, hypocortisolism, and hypocorticism) is a rare endocrine disorder wherein the adrenal glands produce insufficient steroid hormones (glucocorticoids and often mineralocorticoids).
Grave's Disease: Graves' disease is an autoimmune disease. It most commonly affects the thyroid, frequently causing it to enlarge to twice its size or more (goiter), become overactive, with related hyperthyroid symptoms such as increased heartbeat, muscle weakness, disturbed sleep, and irritability. It can also affect the eyes, causing bulging eyes (proptosis). It affects other systems of the body, including the skin, heart, circulation and nervous system.
Multiple Sclerosis: Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease that affects the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system).
Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disorder. It may affect the skin, joints, kidneys, and other organs.
Asthma: Asthma is an inflammatory disorder of the airways, which causes attacks of wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing.
Peptic Ulcer: A peptic ulcer is erosion in the lining of the stomach or the first part of the small intestine, an area called the duodenum.
Alcoholic Liver Disease: Alcoholic liver disease is damage to the liver and its function due to alcohol abuse.

If you've ideas, tell me and I'll add them with some info about them. Heheh... Oddly enough this was kinda fun to put together. o-o'
