Ember was at Yuki's house, it somewhere she went often. She sat outside with him, she touched the soft petals of a pink wild rose gently.
Alice had said something today about a new person comning today.
So Ember was waiting.

A girl with bleach blond hair, the same style as Yuki's, walked down the path. Yuki, who had been studying a rose in the silence, looked up at the sound of footsteps. "Kohana!" He said, his eyes bright with excitement as he stood up.
Kohana smiled back at him. "Hi Yuki-kun." She said quietly.

Ember turned to face Kohana.
"Hello." She said, her voice was silky smooth. Ember took one step farther into the shadows. She didn't know if Kohana knew about...her...yet.

"Kohana, this is my..." Yuki glanced over at Ember with an almost prideful smile. "...girlfriend, Ember. Ember, this is my cousin, Kohana." He introduced.
Kohana grinned at Ember. "Hi nice to meet you." She bowed politely.

Yuki shot Ember a glance that said 'would you mind if I told her?'
Kohana sat down, there were holes in her jeans that showed her knees.
There was a bruise on her arm that Yuki had just noticed and stared at her with conern. He sat next to her, between her and Ember.

Ember covered the bruise with her other hand. "Mm? Oh... it's nothing." She said. "And... not to pry, but tell me what?"
"Oh... Err... Ember... she's a vampire."
Kohana looked more surprised than scared. "Eeh?"
"She's a vampire... a good one."
Kohana nodded... but then looked rather confused again. "Eeh? Are you joking?"
Yuki almost laughed. "No, it's no joke."
This time Kohana took it in. "So Ember's a friendly vampire."

"Yes...I'm a vampire. I eat animals...not people." Ember said, stepping out of the shade. She instantly glittered.
