Sick

Akito deliberately changed the subject. "Devon, when you're not here, what do you do? I mean, with the other Cullens?"

[Platinum]

"Hunt...I don't speak to them much, though. The don't seem to fully trust me yet." He said with a small shrug.

[Akkii]

((I wonder what Aki smells like to the vampires. lol))

"I don't see why. You seem to be getting by just fine, hunting animal blood." Akito said.

((I also wonder if he'd be like Edward and call to say Aki's sick and needs some medicine! xDDDDDDD))

He shrugged again.

He gto up from the couch. "I'll be back." He said, walking out of the rom for a brief moment.

He was calling the maids to say that AKito needed medicine.

[Akkii]

After a few minutes a maid came up and knocked on the door. "Come in..." Akito called.

The maid stepped in with some Nyquil. "Here, Akito-san." She said, handing the bottle to Akito. Then she went out of the room. Akito stomped into the other room. "Devon...!"

Devon smiled innocently at her.
"I don't want you getting anymore sick." He said. "Now you can eat, too."

[Akkii]

Akito glared at him and sighed. She walked into the kitchen and got out a medicine cup and poured it in. She drank the medicine out of the small cup and resisted the urge to spit out the taste of black licorice. She finally forced herself to swallow it and immediately went to get a larger glass and filled it with water. She walked back into the living room where Devon was waiting, gulping down the drink.

Devon waited patently for Akito.

[Akkii]

Akito finished drinking the glass of water and inhaled deeply.

"Thanks a lot!" She said, meeting his eyes. She couldn't help but smile at him... she hadn't realized that she forgot to breathe until her lungs began to hurt.

Devon grinned back.

[Akkii]

She finally gasped in a few breaths and coughed. "You... you... you made me forget how to breathe..." Akito stared at him in wonder, his topaz eyes distracting her.

[Platinum]

"Sorry...I didn't mean too." He said, feeling a bit guilty.

[Akkii]

Akito laughed. "Well... I suppose it's not entirely your fault that your eyes are magnificent." She smirked, again leaning into him.

Then a completely different thought came to mind and she couldn't help but wonder. "What was life like two thousand years ago?"

[Platinum]

Devon thought back.
"Really hot in the summer, really cold in the winter. Jesus's teachings were begining to spread around." He said.

[Akkii]

"Eeeh? Jesus? What kinds of teachings did he do?" Akito tilted her head to the side.

Of course she wasn't christian...

[Platinum]

Devon almost laughed. "Jesus with a religous figure, he still is. He taught that to get into heaven, you had to be kind and worship God." He explained breifly. Of course, that's not /all/ you had to do, but that just pretty much sums it up.

"God? Which god? All of them, I'm guessing?" Akito asked, feeling rather stupid. She really couldn't keep up. He said God. It wasn't plural. But there was more than one. Which god?

[Platinum]

((::gasps:: Shame on me!))

"In his teachings, there is only one God." He said.

[Akkii]

Akito arched an eye brow. "...But..."

Everything she knew was suddenly so confusing.

"God created everything, even people and animals." He explained.
