Akito stiffened. How could he say something like that?! He knew full well that Shigure's curse had broken. Akito turned away from Shigure to glare at Kaiser. She wished he was human. She had the strongest urge to hurt him, and could hardly hold herself back.
"You know his curse broke! How can you say that?!"

Shigure decided he may as well step up. Why not speak up for her? There was no reason to try to break her anymore. So he may as well try being kind.
"The curse is weakening. It's falling apart," he said. "Not even 'god' can control that. It was destined to happen."
Then he added. "Ah, you used to be 'god'? How long ago did you exist, anyway?"

Ayra gasped at what she was hearing. what the he** was going on? What did Shigury mean by "long AGO the man existed"? Wasn't he still alive? And Akito? What were they talking about? Arranged marrige? Not for Akito!
And then Devon. In the times I had seen him, which were pretty slim, he had always had a calm and caring voice. Right now Ayra had to admit that his voice had put the chills running through her spine.
And what was up with Akito? Ayra knew from experience that if any of the junishi had talked to her like that, ever, you would be on the floor in front of Akito whimpering and bleeding. Those people were not normal if Akito was acting like this.

"I'm not much younger the Rhea and Devon." Kaiser said to Shigure. "Which is partialy Rhea's fault, I wouldn't be here if she hadn't compelled me to get changed as well." He said.
Rhea laughed coldly. "Compelled you to get changed? I had no choice myself!" She snapped at him.
"I'm starting to think that both of you have authority issues." Kaiser commented, causing both Devon and Rhea to hiss.
"That's wasn't my fault, either." He snarled at Kaiser.

"Ahh, you're old then too?" Shigure replied to Kaiser. He watched Akito for a bit, then said, "Akkii, you really have a thing for age differences. First someone eight years apart from you, then someone six years apart from you, and now someone... Ooh, give or take two thousand years apart," he said lightly.
Akito got the feeling one of her Juunishi was listening to their conversation from a nearby room.
"You need to shut up, Shigure," Akito snapped.
"Why?"
"There's an eaves-dropper."
"How do you know that?"
"You actually have to ask, you idiot?"
"Ah, must be one of the Juunishi."

"oh, sh**." Ayra gasped. How did she know? This was really confusing to her. Two thousand years? It was impossible, wasn't it? ... Unless the stories were true... But how could they? they looked so young!
Ayra heard footsteps come near her. She gasped again and backed away from the wall.
