"It's fine," Kyo assured her. "It's not like she was ever... well, cruel or anything. Went through all the motions of love for me, but she, well..." He trailed off and sighed a bit. Looking upset, but not exactly as if he were going to cry or something.

Kira didn't know what to say to him.

Kyo nodded. "Heh, is it fun? I mean, having Shade as a daughter. She's pretty funny. Drinks 'Red Bull' all the time, too."

Kyo shrugged. "At least she still went through the motions of love, she tried to be a good parent. The worst part, after the suicide, is that 'Dad' was mad at me," He sighed.

"Shade told me you knew about the curse. Well the cat... which is what I am... has another form, and this bracelet keeps me from transforming into that other form. My mother feared it, and that's why she committed suicide," Kyo explained. "So even now my Dad hates me. Glad I didn't have to live with him my entire life," He couldn't help smiling a bit now. Shishou was an amazing guy. A really good dad.

Kyo chuckled. "Heh, yeah. His name's Kazuma. One of the Sohmas, but not cursed. He took me in. His grandfather was the cat, so we got along pretty well. He taught me martial arts."
((Hmm, maybe I'll bring him in. He could walk into the main house and to Hatori's place because one of his students barfed in the dojo or something. *laugh*))

There was a knock on the door. Kyo turned around to stare at the door.
"Hatori-san," A voice called.
Kyo's eyes suddenly lit up at the voice.
A man with brown-gray hair gathered in a pony tail stuck his head in.
"Ha--" He cut off and his eyes widened a bit at Kyo.
"Shishou!" Kyo said.
"Kyo-kun, what are you doing here?" He asked, walking in, chuckling. He shut the door behind him.
"I was looking for a friend and ran into her mom instead, who's kind of my friend anywy." Kyo said nonchalantly. "Oh, by the way, Shishou, this is Kira Sato. Kira, this is Kazuma Sohma, my Shishou."
Kazuma smiled. "Nice to meet you, Kira-san. Good to see one of Kyo's... friends?" He chuckled a bit.

She bow poiletly then laughed softly. "It's a pleasure to meet you." She told him. "Kyo speaks highly of you." She told him, the soft smile still on her face.

Kazuma grinned. "Oh, really?" He turned to face Kyo.
Kyo laughed a bit. "Yeah, I guess. It's really good to see you again, Shishou."
Then he did something Kira probably wouldn't have expected. Kyo whirled so he was facing right in front of Shishou and went for a punch.
Kazuma blocked it with his hand.
"Good to see you again, Kyo-kun,"
Kyo beamed and laughed.

Kira was a bit startled when Kyo went for the punch to the man's face. But the look for shock on her face soon faded when she saw that both of them were fine with it. She smiled a bit at Kyo. He seemed so happy right now.
The door opened, not even bothering to knock because she practicaly lived there.
"Hey, Mom, have you seen Hatori? I can't find him." The punk girl walked completely in. Her medium length jet black hair was pulled back into a pony tail. The peices too short to fit fell softly around her face.
"He said he had to get something in town." Kira responded.
"Mmkay. Thanks. Oh, hey Kyo." She directed the last part to her friend.

"Hey, Shade," Kyo said, looking over at her.
Kazuma looked over. He could certainly see the resemblence. "Hello, Shade-san," He said, bowing politely to her, even though he was older than her and didn't exactly have to bow.
"This is my Shishou, Kazuma Sohma," Kyo said quickly. "Shishou, another friend, Shade," He was smiling.

"I'm just glad Kyo-kun's been making friends," Kazuma said with a chuckle. "Any friend of his must be a wonderful person," He added, sounding proud.
