Akito gasped. She wanted to shut her eyes, but she found it was hard. What she was watching was amazing... and rather terrifying. She clung tighter as she watched trees fly by. She couldn't believe Devon hadn't hit one yet. She almost screamed when she saw one coming up and then he had just swerved...

Devon quickly made it to the hills. He set Akito down and smiled at her.
"Did you have fun?" He asked.

"Yes... but I was also terrified out of my wits," Akito said. She felt a bit dizzy. That was so fast!
"Nngh... maybe I'll keep my eyes shut next time," She added with a smirk.

"Mm... You know what's really nice, Devon?" Akito asked. She didn't wait for an answer. "That we're alone," She said. "All alone. We can't be intruded on, either..."
(('Less Jane comes and attacks for some unknown reason. lol Or maybe a couple of bad vamps. lol couple of nomads. That would be fun...))

Akito smiled in Devon's arms.
((Writer's block. We can share the nomads. You post with them first. I say nomads, because then it's harder for Dev to fight 'em off... than if it were just one. XD lol Just have'em show up outta nowhere. We don't need bios for them. Dev can try to kill 'em... prolly won't kill 'em completely though, since neither of them have a lighter...))

A pale figure could be seen in the distance. Devon stiffened. They didn't smell human.
A woman came out of the shadows. Her blonde curls looked wild, and so did her eyes.
Which were red.
Devon let out a low hiss. She laughed. A tall vampire showed up behind her. His brown hair fell infront of his mahogany eyes, he swipped his hair out of his eyes.
((make the next ones show up, then they'll attack Devon XD))

Akito stiffened. Devon hissing meant trouble. She looked out into the distance. People. But Devon wouldn't be so upset if they were just people. Werewolves? Other vampires?
((Yesh, two can attack Devon, while two try to pin Aki down... which wouldn't be hard for a vamp. lol))
Two more showed themselves after the first two. Ooh, the person with the vampire smelled good. They couldn't exactly tell if it was a girl or a boy by the looks, so they'd been calling Akito 'it' (lol, poor Aki).
The four started to advance, slowly at first, but suddenly they appeared, surrounding Akito and Devon.
Akito saw the vibrant red eyes. Crap...

The tall, brown haired one launched it's self at Devon, actually knocking him down.
The blonde girl advanced towards Akito, a dangerous glean in her red eyes.

Akito let out a soft scream as Devon was knocked to the gound, and started backing away from the blond one... only to be grabbed from behind.
One of the vampires, with pitch black hair, twisted Akito's arms behind her back.
Akito screamed louder that time.
Another vampire threw itself on top of Devon, to help the one that had attacked the blonde vampire.

Devon managed to get away from the two vampires for a moment, long enough to pull the one hurting Akito away from her.
The blonde pounced on Akito, ready to bit into it's neck when Devon ripped her awya with a snarl.
The blone one yelped, and another vampire tackled Devon, taking a bite out of throat and spitting out the large chunk of flesh. Devon gritted his teeth and resisted the urge to yell out in pain, he hit the vampire off of him and went back to defend Akito.

Akito hated feeling this helpless. She couldn't do anything to defend herself. She stayed close to Devon. Four vampires... against one vampire and a human. The odds were against her and Devon...
One tried to snap at her neck. But somehow she managed to just barely dodge it.

The four of them circled Devon and Akito. They needed to get out of there...
"Akito...we need to get out of here, fast." He said, implying that he might have to run away from the scene carrying Akito, but that still wouldn't help, they'd chase after them.

Akito nodded. She was ready for him to put her on his back any time he was ready to leave right about now.
"Aww, why can't we have the snack?" One of the vampires pretended to whine.

"Shut up!" Snapped Devon. He grabbed Akito by the arm and threw the girl onto his back. He took off at a run.

The vampires were close behind, Akito clung to Devon, terrified out of her wits. Lucky for her, though, Devon, it seemed, was faster than them.
