Gunn leaned against a brick wall. It was about seven thirty in the morning, and was still pretty cold out. He pulled his over-sized hoodie to his body. His teeth chattered together for a spilt second, before he rubbed his arms and warmed himself up. He was pretty much used to the cold, but it was negative five degrees outside. Which was waay more then cold.
Gunn now lived in a warehouse, filled with space heaters and trash-can fires in order to stay warm. He frequently had to find old heaters and make them work again just to keep his gang from freezing to death in the middle of the night.
He smirked, remembering a fond memory.
"Hey! You! You thief!" Gunn shouted as he rushed to his old pick up truck, a girl, not much older then twelve had busted the window in the back and crawled up into it. She looked up, then bolted out of the window, cursing to herself for being caught. But Gunn grabbed the girl by the shoulders.
"You little punk! I autta..." He threatened. She smirked, which caught him off guard. She grabbed his wrist suddenly and smashed in into the truck. He almost yelped out.
"You must be Gunn." She said, the smirk still on her face. Gunn's wrist was okay. It hardly even hurt now. She had just surprised him.
"And You must be Shade... the car thief." He said.
"I tend to think of it as borrowing."
They actually ended up talking. He found out what she did with the cars.
Took them apart and used the parts to fix things.
A week or so after that, Shade joined his gang. She would fix or make space heaters and other things for them. Gunn would just have to bring her the stuff to make them with. The gang started calling her 'The Little Mechanic'.
Shade stepped outside. He knew this routine. Shade always got up at seven forty and walked outside. No matter how cold it was.
"What do ya know? It's my little mechanic!" He called with a laugh. Shade turned her head.
"Gunn!" She said happily.

((Mehh, should Ha'ri be out walking or something. Like he'd been up all night and needed to get more awake, so he goes out in the cold. XD Then Shade could be like 'Hey Ha'ri' and Gunn'd be like 'Who the he** are you?' XD))

Lawliet seemed to randomly appear from behind Gunn and Shade. He had just returned from work and was wearing a brace on his wrist. Since he had been shot earlier today he was trying to hide it so Kira wouldn't see it.
"Hello. You look familiar. Are you perhaps from a gang?" Lawliet asked Gunn tilting his head. Lawliet still had his gun on from work.
Gunn looked at Lawliet.
"... No." He said, glancing at Shade quickly, then back at Lawliet. "You know this guy?" He asked her.
"Yeah. He's my uncle." She said.
"WHAT!? I'm gonna beat the sh*t outta ya!" Gunn said, advancing on Lawliet.
Lawliet stepped back. "Why?" He replied. Lawliet figured Gunn thought that L was Moshi but Lawliet didn't feel like making this a point at the moment.
"Hey! Not that one!" Shade said, grabbing Gunn's sleeve. He looked over at her, confused.
"So ya sayin' you have more then one uncle?" Gunn asked. Shade shot him a look like he couldn't be any stupider.
((This is where Hatori shows up cause it looks like L is about to be beat up.(As if! XD))

((Gunn seems like a bit of an idiot.))
Hatori was walking through the city, dark circles under his eyes. He hadn't been getting much sleep. He was out walking in such cold to wake himself up. Quite a few of the family members were sick, making his work harder.
He noticed Shade and Lee up ahead. Wait, who was that guy.
He walked on ahead until he'd be in earshot. He didn't exactly feel like yelling. "Something going on here?" He asked, sleep still in his voice. It was obvious he hadn't gotten any sleep for a while.

Shade looked over at Hatori. "Nah. Gunn's just bein' an idiot. Are you okay? You look kinda bad no offense." She said.
"Well you never told me that you had more then one uncle!" Protested Gunn. "I am not an idiot."
"Of course your an idiot. You have a idiosyncrasy personality. Considering you didn't even think to see if I was armed before threatening me." Lawliet said calmly.
"Your a** better pray that I don't look that word up." Gunn said, although he didn't look like he was going to attack Lawliet anymore.
"He's smart when he wants to be." Shade pointed out. "Like that one time we broke into a law firm-" She shut her mouth instantly.
Lawliet glanced at Shade. "I'll pretend I didn't hear that." But he turned to look back at Gunn. "Would you like me to tell you what it means?" He asked not even scathed by the threatening.

Hatori stopped when he was among the group.
"Half the family's sick. I've hadly slept at all this week," he replied to Shade. He yawned, covering his mouth.
"Who's your friend?" He added.

She grinned a bit. "Oh! That's just Gunn. I guess he was like my sensei of sorts." She said with a shrug. "Why haven't you been sleeping? That's stupid. What if you accidentally stab someone in the wrong spot with a needle because you're half-asleep while doing it?" She asked him, perfectly serious.
Kira walked outside, holding something metal in her hands.
"Shade! What have you done to the dishwasher?" She asked.
"I fixed it." She said.
Gunn snickered.
Kira sighed. "Well now I don't know how to use it." She said. "Unfix it." She said, pushing the dishwasher parts into Shade's hands.
Lawliet glanced at Kira. "Well it could have been your car or something more important. Dishes can always be washed by hand." He said bluntly.
Kira smiled at Lawliet, although the smile was somewhat sarcastic. "Would you like to wash the dishes, Lawliet?" She asked him.
Lawliet put his injured hand behind his back. "At this time I am unable to wash dishes. But I'll take a rain check on that." He replied lightly.
She grabbed his arm, so she could look at his hand. "Did you get yourself shot again?" She asked.
"No. It's just sprained." Lawliet said simply.
((Hatori should point at that it's not a brace for a sprained wrist. XD))

Hatori looked at it from where he was. "That's not a brace for a sprained wrist, Lawliet," he pointed out. "Should I look at it?" He walked closer so he was next to Kira so he could get a better view if it. Then he looked over his shoulder at Shade. "Oh, and Shade, I know that it would be bad to be half-asleep while doctoring everyone. That's why I'm walking out here in the cold. So far the cold is helping me wake up. But... I don't think I'd mind doctoring Shigure half asleep. He's annoying. I've already deliberately given him shots in the wrong spot before," he added, to answer Shade's question, while smirking.

"Shut up Hatori." Lawliet replied rolling his eyes. "It's not the first time I've been shot. And no you don't have to look at it. As you can see it has already been taken care of." He added in a monotone voice.
Kira sighed, obviously exhausted with having to deal with all of them. "You should let Hatori look at your hand." Kira said.
Gunn glanced at Lawliet's hand. "It doesn't look that bad. I've had worse." He shrugged.
Lawliet looked at Gunn. "I know it's not bad. Thank you for agreeing. Besides Kira it's not like I was shot in the side or shoulder again." He replied in a normal voice looking back at Kira when he spoke to Kira.
Kira sighed again.

"Well, I suppose it will be fine if I don't take a look. It does seem to have been taken care of," Hatori agreed.
"Oh, Shade, Tadao wanted me to let you know that he's going to be coming over here today," he said to her.

"Who's Tadao?" Gunn asked.
"My friend." Shade said to Gunn.
"Most likely if it hadn't been taken care of it wouldn't of had a brace." Lawliet replied as though it was completely obvious and didn't need explaining. Well actually it shouldn't.
((Tadao should pop up now. Gunn would be confused with how similar Hatori and him are. XD Plus I don't think Lawliet has met Tadao.))

"Nii-san!" Someone called.
Hatori looked over and saw Tadao walking on the sidewalk toward them.
When Tadao got closer he continued. "Most of 'em are asleep now, so I thought I'd come out for a walk too," he said. He looked almost as tired as Hatori. Probably helping him work.
"Oh, and hi, Shade," Tadao said to Shade, smiling at her.

"Hi Tado." Lawliet said using Abbi's nickname.
Shade smiled at Tadao. "Hey, Tadao." She said to him.
"Hello, Tadao." Kira said, politely.

Tadao's cheeks reddened just slightly at the use of the nickname Shade's cousin Abbi had given him. He wasn't used to it. "Hello, nice to see you again Kira-san, Lawliet-san," he murmered, also politely.

Shade's smile widened when she saw his blush.
"C'mon... Tado... lets go inside." She said, grabbing his wrist and dragging him in the direction of the house.
"You can come too, Gunn." Shade said to him.

Tadao chuckled and started walking, taking long strides so Shade wasn't dragging him.
"Eh, so that big guy's name is Gunn? I'm guessing he's a friend of yours," he chuckled.

She nodded. "Mm hm!" She said to him. "I've known him since I was twelve." She said. Not saying how she knew him....
Kira looked up at Hatori.
"I guess that means she's inviting you over, too." Kira said with a slight smirk.

Gunn had caught up to Shade, so he was now walking on the other side of her. "So you broke Kira's dishwasher? Smooth one, Shade." He smirked at her.
"I didn't break it. I made it better." Shade said to him.
Lawliet just followed behind seemingly uninterested.

Hatori nodded, walking into the house with Kira. "Yeah. Well, I'm rather busy, always taking care of everyone. I'm glad I got out of the house, though. It's too hot. Almost everyone has a fever, which is causing them to have chills. They're all convinced it's freezing in the house, when it's almost eighty degrees," he murmered.
Tadao chuckled. "You made it better, huh? Is that why your mom couldn't get it to work?"
