((Weird title, I knowish XD))
Shade and Kyo had been walking up to Kazuma's house and dojo. Shade was glad to get to see Kazuma again, she thought he was pretty cool, plus, she really didn't like being in Kyo's house. Ever since what had happened, everyone seemed to be watching her carefully. It was the same at her house. She thought if she went to Kyo's, no one would watch her as carefully, but apparently not. Even Yuki seemed to be watching her closely, and she didn't even know the guy.
But, she suggested they go to Kazuma's again, and Kyo aggreed, and here they were, walking up to Kazuma's. Shade would have offered to race, but she wasn't feeling so good. It hurt enough to walk already, from the bruises and such. The massive stomach ache didn't help much either.
So just wlaking was fine for her now. So, here she was... talking to her best friend, Kyo.

Kyo had called Kazuma before they had left. So Kazuma was meeting them half way. Kyo saw the gray-haired man down the path. "You cut your pony tail!" he called, smirking.
Kazuma nodded. When they got closer, he said, "It was getting kind of annoying. So I'm trying having short hair for a while," he explained. "How have you two been?"
"Mm, I've been okay," Kyo said.

She smiled a bit. It was her crooked little smile that some people, much to Shade's disliking I must add, described it as 'adorable'.
"Hey, Kazuma. I've been alright, I guess." She said to him with a small shrug. No need to go into details about her week... plus she just figured he already knew.

Kazuma actually didn't know.
"That's good. Come on, we'll go to my house. Kyo-kun, you want to cook?" He asked.
"For once you didn't feel the impulse to burn your house down?" Kyo asked jokingly.
Kazuma chuckled. "Come, now. I'm sure I could coo--"
"Don't say it. Everyone knows you are incapable of creating anything edible," Kyo replied. "C'mon. I'll cook some soumen." Kyo started in the direction of Kazuma's house.

Shade chuckled as the two men talked.
"Good, soumen. I've really been craving our soumen for some odd reason..." Shade said, mainly to herself. To tell you the truth... she didn't know that she was pregnant yet...

Kazuma followed the teens. "Kyo, come on, one more chance," he suggested.
"Look, I know it's good to persevere and all that crap, Shishou, but just give up already. You'll never be able to cook," Kyo snapped back, but his tone was loving toward his foster father. Soon they reached the house and Kyo walked in.
"Heyy!" Kunimitsu said when he saw the three enter.

Kazuma had obviously given up arguing with Kyo, because he wasn't bringing up the subject anymore.
Kunimitsu had an almost devilish grin on his face. He was standing to a creepy-looking stain on the wall.
"I know something Kyo used to be afraid of." He pointed to the stain on the wall. Kyo looked over.
"Betcha he's still scared of this," Kunimitsu continued teasingly.
"Shuddup!" Kyo replied, flushing bright red.

Shade looked over at the creepy stain. She wondered breifly about how it could of gotten there. ANother one of Kazuma's cooking accidents...?
She looked over at Kyo and slightly raised an eyebrow. "You were afraid... of a stain?" She asked them, trying to keep from snickering. A small twitch at the corner of her mouth threatened to turn into a smirk.

"I was a little kid!" Kyo replied. "Besides, it looks like a person's face! It freaked me out when I was little. I'm not afraid of it anymore!" He said, still blushing.

She nodded. "Mm hm." She said, now smirking a little bit, but not alot. ".. why are you still blushing?" She asked in a playfully manner.

"Because he embarrassed me!" Kyo said. "Gah!" He whirled to Kunimitsu. "I'm gonna kill you, Kunimitsu!"
"Kyo-kun, don't hurt Kunimitsu. He's my star pupil and helps with the classes I teach," Kazuma said with a quiet chuckle.

Kyo rolled his eyes. "I'm gonna cook now. Don't bother me."
Despite his instructions, Kazuma followed him into the kitchen.
"I'll he--"
"Shut up, Shishou. Deal with the fact that you can't cook."

"Nah. It's not something that someone really needs help making. You can stay in here if ya want, I guess. But not Shishou. He's bad luck. He distracts me from the food I'm cooking, or he accidentally knocks it off the stove. Bye Shishou," Kyo chuckled.
Kazuma sighed and walked out, though he was smiling.
Kyo started rummaging through Kazuma's mostly empty pantry and found the noodles quickly.

Kyo smirked and set the pot on the stove. He put the stove on High and then opened the bag of soumen so it would be ready to pour when the water started boiling.
"I hate waiting for water to boil," Kyo muttered.
