Cabrini stared at the TV. She had it turned up as loud as it would go. That way, she could hear most words, and lip-read the rest. Suddenly, she thought she heard someone coming to the door. She looked up, not sure if anyone was there. "Hello?" she called. She wondered if anyone was home. "Edward? Alice? Emmet? Esme? Rosalie? Carlisle? Ember?" she called.

Alice showed up at the door.

'Hi.' She signed. Good thing she'd learned sign language a while ago.

Cabrini smiled. Alice was her favorite. She was very kind. IS SOMEONE AT THE DOOR she signed back, her hands flashing so fast only a vampire could see. I THOUGHT I HEARD SOMEONE

'If you mean the front door, no. If you mean your door, then yes. Me.' Alice signed back just as quickly as Cabrini had. She laughed quietly.

Cabrini looked down. SOMETIMES I WISH I WAS TOTALLY DEAF. she singed slowly. I ALWAYS HEAR THINGS THAT AREN'T THERE.

Alice frowned. 'I don't wish you were totally deaf. You probably heard Kohana going outside.' She reassured her. 'I was just coming up here to see if you were hungry. I was going to go get something for you to eat at that Japanese take out place you like.'

OH. Cabrini replied. THE ONE BY BELLA'S HOUSE? her hands flashed. She had met Bella once, breifly. She'd said hello, then she'd had to go.

'Yeah,' Alice signed with a grin. 'I'd bring you with me, but... I don't want to risk it. No offense.'

Cabrini nodded. She still hadn't fully tamed herself. I UNDERSTAND she smiled back. PERHAPS IN ANOTHER YEAR. I WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL. AND MAKE FRIENDS. she said hopefully.

'Maybe soon we'll find a way to introduce you to Ember's boyfriend, Yuki!' Alice grinned and laughed.

'Surely before you were changed you heard about the Sohmas.'

((She should like... squeal or something because she vaguely remembers seeing Yuki and thinking he was hott. XDDDD))

Cabrini grinned. YUKI! I SAW HIM A FEW YEARS AGO! II THINK MAYBE I COULD...PERHAPS NEXT MONTH. she signed quickly.

'Maybe. But we might want to have Emmett by you, in case you need to be restrained. And don't worry, he knows about us. Kohana-chan is his cousin.' Alice signed. She liked saying... or signing... -chan now. She found it fun.

Cabrini nodded. PROBABLY. and then OH, THAT'S GOOD.

'Well, I'm off to get you some food. What would you like?' Alice asked.

THE USUAL. WITH A COKE. she signed. Cabrini leaned back.

This time Alice spoke, but signed at the same time. "Why don't you come with me, like just through the forest a ways. I'd like a good run." She flashed a huge smile.

"Okay!" Cabrini was so happy she said it out loud. She hopped up and was at Alice's side at the speed of...well, a vampire.

Alice laughed happily. Cabrini's voice was so pretty, and she rarely talked. It was such a treat to hear her voice. "Let's go." She said, and also signed.

Cabrini dashed out the door, loving the feel of running. She rarley went out, because her deafness made her liable to attack, and she was too embarrassed to ask Emmet, Jasper, Edward, Rosalie or the others.

Alice smiled and kept up with Cabrini easily. She did a few cartwheels and flips as she went through the forest.

"You've seen Kohana run, right? It's like she's an acrobat!" Alice said loudly, so Cabrini'd hear. "She says that she wanted to be a gymnast!"
