Yuki sighed. "Hope she doesn't tell anybody," he mumbled. He carefully stood up. He forgot that Haru was sitting near him, and reached over to steady him, despite the fact that this time he didn't need to be steadied. "Well, classes are starting soon. I should probably get my books."
"I'll help," Haru offered. Yuki shook his head. "No, Haru, it's okay." He gave his friend a feeble smile to reassure him.
Haru smirked. "Fine, whatever you say. Don't forget your crutches and put weight on that broken leg of yours."
Yuki flushed. He'd been about to do that, actually. He grabbed his crutches.

"Err, no, I'll be fine," Yuki replied, carefully leaving the table.
((I figured how the entire school could find out would go like this: Emiko's trying to convince her friends that Yuki does turn into a rat, and so she proves it by hugging him in the middle of the cafeteria, not really thinking about just how badly it will effect Yuki, both reputation-wise and he'd get in trouble with Akito. XD))

Yuki nearly fell down, accidentally tripping over a girl's foot. She apologized several times. He did as well. More quietly than she did, of course.

Emiko watched as Yuki tripped she walked up to the girl and helped her up, not looking at Yuki.
"I'll prove it." Was all that she said to the girl.
Edward's eyes wided when he read the girls thoughts, but he was already too late. She reach up, and hugged Yuki.

Yuki had looked at Emiko in surprise when he'd seen her, but hadn't been able to stop her from hugging him.
There was a cloud of thin, lavender smoke, and then there was a little rat on the floor. Gasps echoed through the cafeteria.
Kyo and Tohru looked horrified at what had happened. Even Haru and Momiji seemed scared that everyone had found out. Alice, too, looked worried. She felt guilty that she hadn't seen that coming.
Motoko and other Prince Yuki fans covered their mouths in shock. A few girls fainted.

Ember turned and gasped.
"Yuki!" She exclaimed, now worried for him.
Emiko stood up. "See! I told you all!" She said so that every one could here. "He turns into a rat!"

Yuki stared up at Emiko, horrified. She told people about what had happened. Ooh, he'd be in trouble now. This was just wonderful. The rat scurried away. He was worried he may transform back into a human in front of everyone.
Hatsuharu stood up, furious that that girl could do something so cruel to his friend. He literally shoved past the girl and picked up Yuki's clothes as people continued to gawk.

"Do all the Sohma's turn into rats?" She spat at him.

"No, you idiot," Haru snapped at the girl. His eyes weemed to be slightly darker, menacing. He had gone 'black'. This was the same shy kid that had asked Yuki out last week. He regretted leaving his friend alone with her now.

"You're calling Yuki a monster? What's so scary about a rat? And it's not like he has a choice but to hide it. He's going to be in an awful lot of trouble with the family head, thanks to you," Haru snarled. His fist rose slightly, as if he were planning to draw it back and punch Emiko. Well, that's exactly what he was planning.

Haru sighed and lowered his fist. "You aren't worth it. Just leave Yuki alone," he said angrily, turning on his heal and heading in the direction Yuki had gone, still holding the clothes.

Ember glared at Emiko. "So what if he's a rat?" She snapped at Emiko, then left the building, the opposite direction of Haru.
