Shade's pregnant stomach buldged slightly from between her hips. It was no use now hoping that she actually wasn't pregnant. She hated looking and Tadao and Lee now. The girl felt that she was betraying them. Lee didn't really know and they probably were going to tell that the child was Tadao's. The scary fact, it might just be Tadao's. Shade stopped outside of store and dropped her backpack. Life is just one collision course. Or maybe it was some test. Getting through the beatings of her uncle seemed like an openbook quiz compaired to the rollercoaster her life had desended into. A scary rollercoaster with no seat belts. The black haired girl rested her head in her hands and sighed deeply. People passed her without a second thought. Just another pregnant teenager running away from home, they thought. Scum of the world. She probably wouldn't last long anyways. Shade didn't pay much attention to them as well and as soon as she got up quickly, slinging her backpack over her shoulder and trekking to the one last place that she could hide. The man had been nothing but kind to her, dispite the fact that he didn't know her very well. But Shade felt a connection with him. Did Kyo feel this same connection? She pushed the oranged haired boy out of her disturbed thoughts. She sighed again as she approached his dojo. Help me please, KazumaShe slid her shoes off respecfully before walking. "Kazuma?" She called softly. And when it rains You always find an escape Just running away From all of the ones who love you From everything You made yourself a bed at the bottom Of the blackest hole And you'll sleep till May You'll say that you don't want to see the sun anymore ((Bleh. It looked better in my head.))

((S'good. xD))
Saki was sitting in the living room, sipping tea, looking completely at home. Some housekeeper she was being. "Ah, hello, Shade," she said lightly, not even asking about the slightly bulging stomach, even though she knew it was because Shade was pregnant. With whose child, she wasn't sure.
Kazuma heard Shade call and came walking down the hallway, grinning at her. "Ah, hello Shade!"
He appeared to be fairly oblivious to the bulge. Well, it wasn't exactly very noticeable yet, anyway.

Shade was pretty much glad that neither of the two had mentioned her stomach. "Hi Sohma-san, hi Saki." Shada said a bit akwardly. She bowed once and quickly to the two of them, keeping her head down. She kicked at the floor with one socked foot. "I don't want to impose... but I was wonder if I could stay at your dojo for a while." She mumbled to the two of them. "I'll earn my keep. I'll like... clean it and help teach."

"Don't call me Sohma-san," Kazuma said. "Call me Kazuma. Or Shishou or Sensei, even," he told her, still smiling. "And of course you can stay! Don't bother about 'earning your keep'." He shook his head.
Saki merely nodded, sipping her tea. She was too busy thinking about other things to say something. Things like wondering where her dear Aa-chan must have gone. She knew Akito wouldn't just leave Devon like that...
Her face was blank, and she seemed to be spacing off.

Shade glanced over at Saki who hadn't said another word before looking back at Kazuma. "Thanks, Kazuma." She said to him. "If there's anything that I can do for you, please tell me. I don't want to feel useless." Shade said with a slight, crooked grin that didn't reach her eyes.

Kazuma nodded. "So what brings you to stay here? I thought you were living with Tadao," he said, motioning for her to follow him to the couch where Saki sat. He took a seat beside the girl.

Shade sat down, keeping her eyes trained on the floor. "I was living with Tadao. But things got... complicated." She mumbled. "I'm pregnant again."

"You can stay in my room with me," Saki said. "Would you like some tea?" She was not bothered that Shade was pregnant. She stood up and left the room without Shade's answer.
Kazuma nodded. He knew who the father of Ryuzaki was, and that Shade was the mother.
"Whose is it? Tadao's or..." he trailed off.

Shade blushed. "I... I don't know. Yet." Shade mumbled. "And, uh, thanks Saki." She said as the girl walked off. "I also have lung cancer..."

"What?" Kazuma asked, looking stricken. In truth, he almost thought of Shade as a daughter, even if in truth, she was Hatori's respective daughter. So, hearing this news hurt. "You... You're sick?" He didn't want to say she had cancer. He looked completely concerned. "I... I can't believe it..."
"I sense troubling waves," Saki called from the kitchen. She practically floated back in. "What is the matter?" She was holding a tray with tea. Kazuma took a cup and handed it off to Shade.

Shade sipped her tea once before responding. "I have lung cancer." She told Saki what she told Kazuma before telling the both of them. "It's like, Small Cell Lung Cancer or something like that. Hatori told me that the survival rate is only five percent. And since I'm pregnant I can't get any treatment. I figure I really don't have all that much time left." Shade said. It was amazing that the girl could keep a strait face while saying this. And her voice didn't waver either. She had accepted the fact that she was going to die. She knew there was nothing she could do about it.

Kazuma shook his head. He didn't want this to happen. He pulled her into an embrace, not sure of what he could say. He hoped this wasn't awkward for her.
Saki sighed and shook her head. "So many tragedies. Aa-chan's injury, then disappearing completely. And now Shade is ill." She took on a more sorrowful face. Shade was almost as close to her as Tohru was.

Shade was slightly startled, but she allowed the man to embrace her, and even returned the hug. Shade nodded once. "Yeah, I guess it's tragic." Shade said, not really thinking that her cancer was all that tragic. Honestly, how many people would miss her. She was probably going to hell anyways.

((Oblivious that many of the Sohma Family will miss her. xDDD LoL))
Saki reached past Kazuma to run fingers through Shade's hair as the man let go of her. "Of course it's terrible. You're mine, Arisa's, and Tohru-kun's friend. Don't say things like 'I guess'. We'll all be very sad if the worse possible outcome takes place."
((That's a new way of phrasing it. xD))

((XD Yeah))
Shade blushed like a child caught doing something wrong. "Sorry." She mumbled. "I don't understand. Why would you be sad? It's not like I'm a good person, like you three anyways." She said, slightly averting her eyes because it would be rude to suddenly tackle her with a dominance contest.

"Me? A good person?" Saki looked truly flattered. "No. I'm not. At least, I wasn't. Neither was Arisa. But we try our best now, just as you do. The only 'good person' is Tohru-kun," she said.
Kazuma felt excluded. "Should I leave you two girls alone?" He questioned, seeing as nobody was speaking to him. "And I think you are both good people," he said.

Shade blushed deeper now and shook her head at Saki, refusing to believe that she could be a good person. Athen she looked over at Kazuma, her face and neck still a deep shade of red. "You can leave if you want..." She murmured.

"All right. I have a class for all the children right now, anyway. I'd better go help Kunimitsu out," Kazuma said. He stood up and left.
Saki smiled. "Tohru-kun says that everybody has a plum on their back that in order for them to be aware of, someone has to point it out for them. Your plum is large, but very sweet. Sometimes you even remind me of Tohru-kun."

Shade blushed for the umptenth time. My plum... ? She thought, but pushed it out of her mind. "I couldn't never be like Tohru. She's so sweet a-and nice..." Shade mumbled again.

Saki had gotten her confused waves. "Your plum. The good things about you, that you cannot see for yourself." She smiled. "And I suppose you can go on believing that, but really, you are those qualities as well."
((Mehhhhh... xD Something needs to happen.))
