Devon made his way back to the main house with his friend. The two had ended their relationship, but they were still on good terms.
Devon was now on his way to tell Akito. And ask for her forgiveness.
He made his way through the labyrinth of the main house with it's winding hallways. Sun that streamed from the windows made the vampire's skin glitter like a thousands diamonds and his hair look as though it was woven from delicate, white gold.
Once outside to get to the other side of the house, his whole body now shone like a bright, blazing star. He was more impressive then the marble statues and beautiful bird baths surrounded by fragrant bushes and multicolored flowers.
He stepped into Akito's new house, and called her name out name. "Akito?" His voice was soft and seemed to float through the house. He stepped into the darkened house, the glitter stopping as soon as he entered the shadows. "Akito?" The vampire called out with his silken voice again, wandering to the back. He had not been in Akito's new house and was not familiar with the layout. He was sure that she was here, though. Her intoxicating scent was as thick as honey in the house, and if she were not here, the scent wouldn't be as strong.
((I think I'm slowly getting my muse back...))

Akito was in the main room as soon as she heard him. She smiled, though sometimes she looked sad when she smiled at him now. After all, she was still very much in love with him, but it's not like she'd take him from Kairi. "Hi," she said. As soon as she'd scented him, she'd frozen for a moment before going to the room. Maybe it was pathetic, but sometimes she wondered if she'd be able to hold herself back from kissing him over and over and begging him to be her husband again. Yeah, definitely pathetic. So now was no different. She held her hands behind her back, wringing them and restraining herself. "Erm, where's Kairi-chan?" She asked out of curiosity.

"She went home." Devon explained breifily. "We broke off the relationship... we weren't right for each other." He said to her.
((Bleh.))

Akito frowned despite herself. Kairi was so sweet, and a lot better than Akito herself, so why would Devon think he and Kairi weren't right for each other.
"Oh..." she said quietly, not sure what sort of reaction she should show. "Are you two still on good terms?"

Devon nodded. "Yeah. Still on good terms." He said to her. He now stood in an akward silence, unsure of what to say.

Akito bit her lip, and inched a bit closer to him. She embraced him.
"Do you... want to..." she trailed off. She shook her head, pulling away from him. "N-nevermind."

Devon hugged the girl back untill she pulled away. "Do I want to what?" He asked her, tilting his head.

Akito shook her head. "I don't know if it's a good idea to ask you," she said. She didn't want to sound clingy or something. And she was afraid of his answer. She just wanted to ask him if he wanted to... get back together with her, but she was scared.

Devon shrugged. "Tell me when you figure out if it's a good idea or not." He said, leaving it at that. He really wasn't one to pressure someone into saying something that they didn't want to.

Akito frowned. Oh, to he** with it! "I was wondering if you wanted to get back together with me..." she admitted, speaking rushedly. Her cheeks heated up, and she felt a little stupid. Why, she didn't know.

Devon bit his lip. "It's a biti early, Akito." He said to her. "But, I suppose I did break off the relationship because I was only dating her to fill your postion while you were gone." He said.

"Y-You were?" Akito questioned. That made no sense. Kairi was so much better than her. A lot nicer and everything. So she didn't understand how Kairi was only there to replace her.
"I-I know it's pretty early to ask. I feel really stupid, now that I've asked you," she told him.

Devon shrugged. "It's fine. But now that I know Kaiser forced you into all of this I don't think it really matters." He said.

Akito nodded slowly. She wondered if she'd have to go through another wedding ceremony with Devon. That meant a new dress... Oh, dear G*d, Alice would dress her up again. She didn't mention what she was thinking about. The expression on Akito's face when Kaiser was mentioned could be considered a wince. "Yeah, well..." she mumbled, curling a strand of hair around her forefinger. "Is it bad to say that I'm glad that you and Kairi broke up?" She asked guiltily.

Devon couldn't help but grin at her. "Hm... I don't think so." He said, his grin turning into a more teasing one.

Akito would have blushed. "I think it's ironic that I got along with her," she said almost lightly, trying her luck and leaning against him.

Devon didn't really seem to notice. He laughed lightly at the comment. "I wasn't really sure if you would like her or not." He said.

Akito shrugged and smiled up at him, feeling much more at ease now. She stretched, and attempted at a little peck on his cheek. She hoped he wouldn't mind. And if he did, she wouldn't do so again. She sighed. "I hate this house," she admitted. "It seems really empty. I've never realized how few possessions I owned," she added, looking around the house. In this room, there were a couple of bookshelves with books, a table, and a futon. That was about it in that room. "Not that I mind whether I have a lot or not," she added, "but it just makes it look too big."

"You could move back in with Mary and I." Devon suggested lightly. "Mary would be estatic."

Akito smiled. "I really would like that," she said to him. "Is Mary still having those nightmares?" She asked. Of course, by nightmares, she'd meant the visions. One time Mary told Akito that she'd seen Devon get pelted by stones, then thrown off a cliff, and everything else that had happened to him. She was seeing visions. Mostly of the past, but sometimes she had them of the future. It worried Akito that Mary was seeing so much in her dreams. The child was only three, after all.
