The sun was shining. Akito was alone in the garden, sitting where the sunlight could reach her. She was listening, to make sure that she wouldn't get caught sparkling like a diamond in the sunlight. She was sitting beside a camellia bush. She'd picked one of the flower and was delicately caressing the crimson petals and the yellow center. She sighed. Devon hadn't made the choice yet, but she couldn't blame him. He had a girlfriend, and she had filed a divorce. They weren't even married anymore. But at least she got along with him, and she got to see her daughter again. She sprawled out on her back in the soft grass. At the moment she was wearing a knee-length skirt the color of her eyes, and a black shirt that went well with it. She sighed and closed her lids over her currently amber-ish eyes.
Then she heard someone coming, too fast to be human.
Kaiser! She was on her feet in a matter of seconds, about to run off in the opposite direction and find Devon, but she hadn't reacted fast enough, and soon Kaiser was before her.

Akito took a step backward, practically growing smaller in Kaiser's presence. She would have been angry, but she figured he was probably angry that she had been able to fool him, if even temporarily, into letting her escape. Would he make the same threat again? If he did, she'd put up a fight this time, get to Mary before he could, keep her daughter safe from him.
"Wh-why are you here...?" She stammered. She practically just mouthed it, barely even parting her lips or making any sort of sound, and so quickly ammended it with a completely different sentence, trying to seem proud, and not terrified of him. "Usually it's plenty safe out here. When we don't have trespassers." She even managed to glare at him.
She was still scared, though.

"It seems that you've gotten your sharp tounge back. I'll have to fix that..." He murmured.

"You aren't going to 'fix' anything!" Akito snapped, taking another step backward. Despite how tense she felt, and how tense she looked, her movements were still fluid and graceful. Maybe not as much as Devon's movements, but she had been graceful before she became a vampire--when she wanted to be--and so it showed now. "I think you should leave," she added through grit teeth. It came out as a low hiss. All the fear, inner turmoil, and absolute fury showed in her eyes. Unfortunately, the strongest emotion seemed to be the fear.
Like Shigure, her eyes tended to give her away as well.

Akito couldn't help it as a shiver rolled down her spine. At least she was able to suppress most of the shudder. His voice... she hated the sound of it simply because it sounded good. Charming. Beautiful, even. And he shouldn't have a voice like that. For once, she actually wished that she could be like Ren, seem completely relaxed, not give anything away with her eyes, and still be furious and terrified.
"I'm not wrong about anything."
But she was giving in. Already. You could tell by the fact that she'd stopped yelling, and wasn't as tense.

"No! No, I won't go back with you. I've just gotten Devon to trust me again!" Akito glared at the vampire, much older than her. She really did feel too much like a child around him. He was so condescending to her at times. Sometimes she felt lower than dirt around him.
It had been so hard to get Devon to trust her. If she left again, he'd only think she was lying to him. What chances would she have to possibly have him back as her husband again?

"You will not go against what I say." He snarled.

Akito was too terrified to pull away, and it showed on her face. She seemed to completely freeze, not able to move.
Even if he wasn't as tall as Devon, he still towered over her, and she felt so small. For a moment, she forgot her vampire strength, because she remembered just how frail she looked, and how weak she used to be.
Finally, she was able to get over the fear enough to speak, and glare heatedly at him.
"I can do what I want. I don't have to do anything you say, you b*****d," she snapped.
She pushed a little, trying to push out of his grip, but didn't try very hard. She still wasn't quite remembering she was stronger than him.

Akito whimpered. Even as a vampire, it still hurt. Not that that was a shock.
Right, she was a vampire too. Besides, had he used such force on a human, he would have broken their neck or skull or something. She used more force herself, pushing out of the man's arms.
"You know, I never thought that a grandfather of sorts from which my father descended would ever be so cruel," Akito spat at him.

((No kidding. xD I'm shocked REN isn't the one directly descended from him. LoL She's the one with the mental illness. xDD Speaking of Ren, I had an interesting idea.))
He needed to demonstrate his authority by beating her. Well, that was wonderful.
"Why, you are quite the man, aren't you?" She sneered, sarcasm smothering her words.
That was a sudden rush of confidence. But the opportunity had presented itself to her, and she'd had to say it.

((She gets fatally ill, and we go on with that for a while... Akito even gets a little upset (0.0) and then, when Ren's about to die, she gets changed by a vampire. Maybe even Akito. Haven't decided yet.))
Akito stepped backward. Despite the confidence, she was still afraid of him.
She remained strong though. "Because you speak cruelly to me as well!" She snapped back, even louder.
