"NO!" a scream came from the porch. It was Kyome! she threw something into the back of Darkclaws head. It was her only knife! It gave Ayra enough time to swerve around Darkclaw and let off ten arrows, straight for him.

Darkclaw used his forearms to block the arrows and the knife."You made me ruin my favorite suit. Now, I'm..."
"DARKCLAW!!!" A voice boomed from behind Darkclaw. Darkclaw looked to see his brother, Drake.
"There you ar....Hey? Why aren't you weakened!?!?"
"Your fools of servants must of told you wrong, brother," Drake countered. He looked at Ayra and Kyome, without turning his head," are you two all right?" He sounded like he didn't know them. It was for their safety though, so he hoped they'd understand.

Ayra gave a clipped nod. Kyome did too, but went to stand closer to Ayra, checking the hole in her chest.

Darkclaw was fanticly thinking in his mind. His spies did tell him that Drake had used his Omega Burst. Maybe, the spy saw something else. "D*mn that spy," Darkclaw said under his breath. He knows that he can't take Drake on while he's at full strength. Darkclaw growled, and looked at Ayra," you're lucky, b**th that my brother was nearby." He smirked and took a step back," see you later b**thes, and brother. But just remember, I know where you live." With that he disappeared.

As soon as Darkclaw, Ayra gasped and fell to the ground. "Drake! I need you now!" Kyome screamed.

Drake walked to Ayra, very slowly. He was only bluffing that he had his full strength back. He kneeled down, beside her.

Drake got up, with difficultly, and pulled the arrow out of the tree. And slid the chunk of Ayra's flesh off. "Here," he said, giving her back her flesh.

Kyome held it. "Can you help me move her to her bedroom?" She asked Drake, putting the chunk back into Ayra where it started fusing, but was still turning a sickening color. "I need to get that blood for her."

"Ok," Drake said. He picked up Ayra, which he had much difficulty doing. He struggled to stay standing, but managed to carry her inside.

"N-not just that." Ayra squeaked, and motioning for him to sit on the bed. "For trying to take on Darkclaw... I didn't want you t-to see him." She shuddered, which made her wince. Ayra put her hand up to where Darkclaw had licked her and her face paled. "You were right about h-him"

Drake would have gotten up to try and comfort her, but he used most of his energy creating the little ruse that he was never here, at this house. "Besides, I knew that he was here. I could smell him."

"Why didn't you s-say anything then?" ayra whispered, because thats all she could manage. her throat felt like sandpaper. Finally, Kyome came, holding two huge clean metal cups, handing the smaller one to Drake, and the bigger one to Ayra. "No spikes in any of yours, all cougar blood. I promise" She said, then helped Drake up to at least sit on Ayra huge bed. "I'm gonna go work on shielding our house from enemy eyes" She said, and walked out.

Ayr carefully moved herself over so Drake would have room. "Oh, okay, that makes sense." Ayra said hoarsely, taking a pull of her drink. "You were protecting us."
