((Throw? XD And HECK NO. XDDD People really shouldn't change into their animals at school. That leads to people looking around the school, trying to figure out where the HECK a lion came from. XDD))
Zoey gave him a look that said 'Of course I'm kidding. Duh.' She looked back at the group of girls and smiled sweetly, giving them that steely-eyed look again. "It was really, really nice talking with you, but I think I should finish my lunch. And you and your friends should get to work on your little compliment issue. I know that you were just trying to be nice and make me feel welcome, but I don't think telling somebody that their hair isn't good enough for others isn't the right way to go about doing it." This time there was a hint of sarcasm when she said 'be nice' and 'welcome'. She even sneered a little. It was fun messing with girls like this.

The 'boss' was ticked now. She wanted to just punch Zoey. And she was about to too, but Leo got in the way. He recieved the punch for her. "So, you're going to stand in our business?" She was going to punch him again, but one of the girls grabbed her arm. "Don't you know who his dad is? It's better to leave him alone, or fisk a lawsuit." The 'boss' hissed. "Fine, you got lucky, red head." And with that, 'the Harpies' left.
Leo got up and brushed himself off. Her punch caused him to drop his lunch. "Aw, man." And today, the cafiteria was serving his favorite lunch, too.

"You didn't have to take that punch for me," Zoey said, laughing a little. "I mean, I'm grateful and all, but I so know how to fight. I can take her. Jeez, she punches like a girl. Not even doing it right. I'll bet her hand hurts like he** now." She pulled him to sit down beside her. "Here, I'll share with you. I'm not actually that hungry anyway." She laughed and started dividing the food in half.

Zoey smiled. "Four or five days ago. Dad got a really good job offer. It sucks that I had to leave my friends, but I like it here. I've always loved the big city," she explained. She ate some food, speaking between bites, then drank some milk.

((Hmmm... Maybe I should bring Hiro-kun in. The sarcastic little brat. XDDD He would have changed a bit by now, though. Nicer. He should be in his last year of middle school... since he started when he was eleven and he'd be fourteen now. XD))

Hiro had been late to lunch, because he'd wanted to finish some homework so he wouldn't have to do it at home. When he found all the tables were full except a few, he felt his safest bet was one with just two people sitting at it. The sandy-haired boy took a seat next to Leo, opening up his bento.
"Hi," Zoey said.
"Hi..." Hiro replied, looking up at Leo. He vaguely recognized the boy, and managed to recall the boy's name. "Hi, Leo-san," he said.
"I'm Zoey," she told Hiro.
"Hajimashite, Zoey," he said.

" 'Sup," he mumbled. He looked over at Zoey. "Those girls were teasing you because of your hair, weren't they?"
"Yeah. So what?" Zoey asked. She wondered if he was trying to make a point.
"Oh, I didn't mean anything by it. It just bothers me when people do that. I've got a friend who was teased for the same reason." For once, he was really lacking in sarcasm.
"I mean, not that I really care or anything. I'm just saying." He grimaced, feeling like a bit of an idiot.

Well, he'd so take a punch for Kisa anytime. Not that anybody ever tried to hurt her anymore. He needed to hit somebody, what with how many guys were chasing her around at that school. Ugh.
