Drake rubbed the back of his head nervousily. He looked at the sky, it was still early. "Ayra, is there something you want to do or someplace you want to go before the 'carnival' tonight?"

Ayra smiled, getting the message. "No, but we can go walk around till tonight if you want to." She suggested. Ayra had been cooped up all day inside and she wanted to get out so she was a little eager to get out of the house away from Kyome and her killer makeup that she trieds to coat Ayra in when she could.

Drake smiled. "All right. Let's go." Drake got up and went out the door.

Ayra smiled and slipped on her shoes mid0 stride and followed Drake out the door happily. She liked running with him because it pushed her limits, even though Drake won every time and they both knew that. It ticked her off though, she wasn't used to being second best, but it was Drake so she didnt mind as much.

Drake smiled and laughed, then easily caught up with her. But he wasn't looking where he was going, and soon crashed into a tree. The tree toppled over and made a loud boom. Shortly after, Drake groaned a "ow."

Ayra looked back and laughed, skidding on the moss and turning around. She jumped over the tree Drake had crashed into and went over to him, kneeling down next to him, making sure he didnt have any bad injures. She wasnt too worried about him though... more about the tree actually. "Hey, you okay?" She asked anyway

Drake nodded," I'm fine. I just didn't see where I was going. Or what was in front of me." This was embarassing to him. He defeated countless enemies, but was caught off guard, by a plant. He got up and dusted himself off.

"Hehe. I think you are a little distracted Drake." She said playfully. "I wonder what that is.." She said mock wondered. Ayra helped Drake dust the rest of the way off. "There!" She said happily. "You might want to be a little slower for a bit now."

Drake laughed playfully," so end my undefeated streak? Not a chance!" With that, he gave her a quick bow, then started to run.

Ayra laughed and ran after him, blowing the wind her way to help. She almost caught up to him, but a turn came and threw her off. She climbed up a tree and jumped from one to another. She dropped onto the ground and ran off in the direction of Drake

Drake laughed. He couldn't remember the last time he had this type of fun. He didn't speed up though, just kept the same pace he was going.

Ayra sneaked up on Drake, full speed and jumped onto his back. "hi." She said, slipping off and running next to him. Ayra laughed and kept running head on.

Drake laugh and sped up a bit. Now he was right along side of Ayra. He laughed and smiled. It was like he was never stern or intimidating anymore. He was just a 'normal' guy having some fun.

Ayra noticed that and looked over for a second, smiling happily that he was having so much fun. She looked back just in time to dodge a tree and jump over a little stream.

Drake also dodged some trees. With skill, he manuevared through the forest without slowing down.

Finally Ayra stopped in the forest clearing that had been so beautiful just a month before. The green was starting to come back but you could see craters and scratched in the earth from where the two dragons were at war. Ayra sighed sadly but perked up as she came to the middle. "This is where you proposed to me." She said quietly. "So this place will be special to me nomatter what it looks like."

Drake stopped nearly at a dime. And walked over to where Ayra was standing, and sat down. "I agree. Though it would have been nice if it wasn't destoryed."

"Yes, but its growing back, so thats better." ayra noted, looking down at him and smiling. She crouched low enough to be eye level with him. "Its still pretty in my eyes, just in a little bit of a different way now." she murmured

Drake smiled warmily. "You're right. This area will grow back, and we'll be able to see that through." He leaned in to kiss her.

Ayra smiled and kissed him deeply for a second. She leaned back and smiled warmly at him a little apologetically. She looked up to he sky. "Come on, by the time we get to town it will be dark." She told him a little more than a little reluctantly.
